I booked my theory test today.
I am not going to say when it is, just in case I fail it. But
WHEN I pass it, I will tell you all about it. So you will need
to keep an eye on this page. |
Wednesday - 2rd July 2003 |
When I got up, I had a shower
etc as normal. Then I cut the back grass. Then I walked the dog,
I think she had forgetting what it's like to be walked, it's
the first time that she has been a walk since Sunday with the
weather being so bad.
Then in the afternoon I went a cycle to Stamford and back. I
got there in record time. At times I was doing 30 Mph and that
was going up hill.
Then at about 6:20pm Matthew come around. We sit in and listened
to some MP3s. Before going into Peterborough, to meet up with
some of his friends. We all went to Pizza Hut to get food, before
going to the Showcase
Cinemas in Peterborough. To see X-men 2. I really enjoyed
the film. I now will need to get the first X-men on DVD, because
I have ever seen it.
I would like to thank Matthew for one of the best evenings,
that I have had in very long time. Oh and of course his friends
2. |
Thursday - 3th July 2003 |
I was really hoping to get
out on my bike today, but the weather made up it's mind to piss
me off and piss it done for most of the day. So I have played
about on the Internet like I do most days and counted the the
hours till Matthew comes.
When Matthew got here, we did the normal. Watched some TV and
I let him, have a play about with my DVD player. I think that
he now really want's to get one 2. Then we walked to The
Willoughby Arms to get food. The food was great as always.
Once we got back to my place, we just sit and chatting about
anything and everything again. And had some great fun with something
starting with the letter "h" but I am not going to
say what.
When Matthew went home. I stayed up late and watched the new
James Bond film that he got me on DVD a while back. I could not
wait anymore, I just had to see it . |

It
was a long day indeed, but a very good one. It all started with
Matthew and me getting up at 5:00am. We got up so early because
we were going to watch a Triathlon with someone that we know
called Ashley Allen taking part. He did very well indeed. In
come in at number 43 out of over 150 people. Which is very good
indeed, because he had ever done a Triathlon before. So well
done Ashley .
In was also a really good day because I got to see lots of guys
in wetsuits, which was one of the main reasons that I wanted
to go. The best looking one was number 43, called Lawrence Fanous.
Now he did look hot in his running, swimming and cycle gear.
I only got one really good photo of him. But it was only the
back of him. I would love loved to have got a photo of him, with
his wetsuit on. He's the sort of guy that I would love to model
for my wetsuitlads
website that I am working on.
When we got back I felt very sorry for Matthew, because he
to go to work. While I went to sleep for a number of hours.
I was a bit pissed off, because I said that I would cycle down
to see him at 6:00pm. But for some reason my alarm did not go
off. I have a feeling I may have set it for AM and NOT PM. I
still went a cycle, down to see him. It just mint that I did
not get there, while he he was still on his tea break.
When I got back from seeing Matthew at work. Mark and me went
to The
Willoughby Arms to get food. |
Monday - 7th July 2003 |
In the morning I had a driving
lesson. It went not 2 badly at all. I went a drive into Oakham.
It's got a very busy main street. Which I am not really a great
fun of, but I will need to get use to busy roads if I want to
pass my driving test. I still think that I should have passed
by September. Which has always been, my aim since I started late
April.
In the afternoon I cut the back grass and give the house a bit
of a clean. Booked train tickets for going up to Scotland on
the 24th of this month. I really looking forward to it. It's
will be the first time that I have been up since April.
Matthew come around in the afternoon for a while. He could not
stay for long, because he had to go and pick his Mum up. He also
got me a copy of the new Delta
Goodrem album called "Innocent Eyes". He is fast
turning into on my the sweetest guys that I know.
Then I went a drive to Asda in
Grantham with Mark to get food. Just don't ask how fast I was
going on the A1, you really don't want to know.
Once I got back from Grantham, I went a cycle to a small village
called Carlby, which is just over 4 miles from Little
Bytham. I so happy now, I have got my bike computer over
the 900 mile mark. It now reads 905 miles, if you really want
to know. Meaning that I will have it up to 1000 miles before
I go up to Scotland. Which will make me, one very, very happy
guy indeed. |
Wednesday - 9th July 2003 |
In the morning I had my theory
test. I failed it, but I was still, very, very happy about it.
I got 33 in the multiple choice select, out off 35. Which I was
more then pleased with, because you need 30 to pass it.
I failed on the hazard perception select of the test, which
you need at least 42 points to pass, I got 35. So just wish me
good luck of the next time, that I do the test. I will let you
all know when I pass it.
I would of course like to say a bit thank you to Matthew for
taking me to Grantham to sit the test in the first place.
When we got back from Grantham, I re-installed his laptop, because
it keeps playing up. I just hope that I have fixed all the problems
that he has been having with it, but only time will tell.
Matthew went home at about 3:00pm for a while to some studying.
But he come back at 5:30pm to give me a give into work.
In the evening I was working at Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. It made Saturday night, look like a
very easy night. So many things went wrong you would not believe.
I think that Ste (the guy who does the bar), was getting very
stressed out. But he was not the only one.
I was so glad when the night was over. Just to think that I
stopped drinking at the start of 2000. But tonight I just had
to have two drinks, to help me calm down. |
Thursday - 10th July 2003 |
Matthew
and me went to Stratford-upon-Avon for a day trip. Stratford-upon-Avon
is the birthplace of William Shakespeare, for people like me
who did not know, till Matthew told me. It was his Mum's idea
that we go there. I will need to thank her for the great idea.
It was a really great day out. Stratford-upon-Avon is a great
small Town. While we were there we went a walk along the river.
Had a look around the shops etc. We were going to go into the
place were William Shakespeare was born, but we did not want
to pay £9 each to get in. If it had been £5 each,
then OK. But not £9.
On the way back from Stratford-upon-Avon we got a bit lost.
But lucky we had a look at the map and worked out how to get
back home.
When we got back to Little
Bytham we had some fun, because going to The
Willoughby Arms for the third Thursday in a row to get
food. It looks like it's going to become a weekly thing now.
When we got back we chatted and watched Eastenders on BBC
3, before he went back home. |
Friday - 11th July 2003 |
I went a cycle to Langtoft,
it's the first that I have cycled there in my life. But I know
that I will be doing the cycle a lot more, from now on. Because
it's the village that Matthew stays in. I did not tell Matthew
that I was going to cycle to see him. He looking very happy to
see me. When I got there, he was outside washing his car. I was
there for about 30 minutes before I had to cycle back home to
get ready for work.
Work was not 2 bad. But they did have very big problems with
the printer on the till at the bar, meaning that we did not get
any orders coming though the printer. So we had to go back to
the old way of doing things, in other words, back to writing
down things by hand. Things got so bad at one point we even had
Richard, one of the people who owns the place, taking drinks
down.
I was glad to get back home. I just hope that things get better
on Saturday night. |
Tuesday - 15th July 2003 |
I spend a number of hours
in the back garden. We cut down a very, very big bush. I can't
believe now much better the place looks now it has been taking
out. It also means that I am going to have great fun, burning
it all, in next number of days.
Once I had done doing the gardening and had time to cool down
a bit, I went a cycle to Stamford. I have now done over 980 miles
on my cycle computer. So it looks like a will hit the 1000 mile
mark, before going to Scotland next week.
Once I got back from Stamford, I made a quick meal, before going
to work at the dogs. Lucky they have got all the problems sorted
out with the tills. It was a bit of a boring nite, because not
mainly people were in. But I know that Wednesday night, will
more then make up for it.
When I got back from work I spoke to Matthew on-line for a while
before going to bed. I could not believe just now hot my room
was. Luckily I got to sleep in the end. |
Wednesday - 16th July 2003 |
Today I went two cycles the first
one was to Stamford and back again. The second one was to Castle
Bytham and back again. I did two cycles to get my bike computer
to hit the 1000 mile mark. I so happy now. Now by the end of September
I am going to aim to have it, up to at least 1,300 miles which
should be easy to do. |
Thursday - 17th July 2003 |
In the morning I started work
on a new website called Sports Sunday, it can be found at sports-sunday.co.uk.
So why is it called Sports Sunday ? I hear you ask. It's called
that people a group of people that I work with at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium, have a get together to place sports most
Sunday's. So they all it Sports Sunday, I have good name indeed,
if you ask me.
Then in the afternoon I sorted out some of my other website's.
Before going to Morrisons to
get some food for tonight and the week ahead.
In the evening Matthew come around. It was great to see him
again, I have not seen much of him since Sunday. Mainly because
he has been doing lots of studying this week and has had a lot
going on at home. Which I can't speak about to much. While he
was here we had a good long chat about everything, that has happened
this week. And also watched Harry Potter on video. Not my video,
I most add because I only get DVD's.
I think that my chat with Mathew really helped. He went home
looking at lot happier then do did when he got here. Try not
too worry to much Matthew, things will sort themselves out in
the end. |
Saturday - 19th July 2003 |
In the morning I spend a while
emailing the 34SP.com helpdesk,
to ask them if they have any ideas why my new account with them
is not working. They worked it out very fast. They said "The
account was created on an incorrect IP address, and as such all
requests for the domain where resolving to the wrong server." But
not that they have fixed it my website should start working in
next 12 hours, but only been will tell.
In the afternoon I went a cycle into Stamford to get a Phono
to Phono audio lend, so that I can connect my TV to my Dolby
Prologic Surround system.
Then in the evening just like every Saturday evening I was working
at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. It was very busy, just like all Saturday
nights are now.
Once I had finished work I went out to get a Pizza with some
of the people that I work with.
I was very glad to get back home and into bed. Because it's
been a long day, but a good one. |
Sunday - 21st July 2003 |
When I got up in at the morning
I was happy, because when I checked my website was back on-line.
So I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone at 34SP.com,
who got it working again.
I spend a number of hours before Matthew turned up. Fixing as
many of the bugs that I have found so far, since moving my website
to 34SP.com.
Moving a website is great fun, because you have to up-load the
whole website again, which does take a long time, when you only
have ISDN.
When
Matthew got here, have had a chat all about all the things that
we could do. In the end we made up ours minds to go to the coast,
with the weather being so great. We went to West Runton, which
is near to Cromer, in Norfolk, if that help's at all.
It was a great day out. I had not been this area of the country
in many years. I use to go down here with my Mum and Dad sometimes
in the school summer holidays. It was great going back.
Matthew and me parked in West Runton and then walked along the
Cliff tops, into Sheringham. It was a very nice walk into along
the Cliff tops. You could see for miles, it was a very clear
day indeed.
When we got into Sheringham, we both went chips and then all
a look around the place. There were some cute guys about, but
not that many .
Then
we walked back to West Runton via the beach. We both took our
shoes off and went a walk with the seawater getting our feet
and legs wet.
Somehow Matthew talked me into taken my shorts off and then
going into the sea with just my cycling shorts on. I tried to
go for a swim, but it just did would happen.
Then after all that we went to Roman Camp (some local woods)
for another walk, before getting the long drive back home again.
Once we got back we went to The
Willoughby Arms with Mark for a meal.
So as you can maybe tell from above it was a really great day
out. Thanks very much Matthew for the great idea. |
Monday - 22rd July 2003 |
In the morning I had a driving
lesson. I think that it went very well this morning indeed. It
went a lot better then last week. So I am more then happy.
Wehn I got back, I spend a while sorting out more of this website.
Going though the sites error log, to look for pages that I had
not up-loaded, of while I found a far number of them. I am now
more, than sure that I have all of this website working again!!
Oh I know, that you people are like. I am sure that you will
still find something that does not work .
Then after that I started to get sorted out for going to Glasgow this
Thursday. I really looking forward to it. I have not been up
since April. I can't wait to see my family and friends again.
It also means that I will get a lot more done to my village website,
like I did back in April.
Then after all that I went a cycle to Morrisons in Stamford
to see Matthew on this lunch break. He lunch break was from 4:00pm
to 5:00pm, which I find a funny time to have one. It was great
to see him, as I may not get to see him again, till I get back
from Glasgow.
Once I got back from Stamford. Mark and me went to The
Willoughby Arms to get food. |
Thursday - 24th July 2003 |
Hey it's the day that I have
been looking forward to since I booked my rail tickets a number
of weeks ago. Yes you gusted it I am going home to Glasgow for
a week.
It all got off to a good start because the train was late. For
once I was having that it would be late, because when I got to
Peterbough train station I still had to get my young persons
rail card sorted out.
Live up now... (well as live as you can get using a mobile to
update it)
3:45pm: The train should have left at 3:14pm, but it did leave
still about 3:27pm. But I would my sit, I could not believe how
hot the train was. The very nice woman sittingnext to me, said
that the air com, is not working on this part of the train. I
will be happy when I get to Newcastle, because they I get to
change trains. I just hope that the air con is working on that
train ok.
4:00pm: At least the service on GNER is
good as always. Two very nice and come around giving out free
drinks and ice. I think a lot colder now.
5:00pm: Since the last update, I have change to shorts, because
I was getting way to hot. I have also change train. I should
have changed at Newcastle, but the staff on the train said to
change at York, because the train that I should have been getting
in Newcastle was only 4 minuets behind us. |
Monday - 28th July 2003 |
In the morning, or it may
have been the afternoon. I went a cycle into Balfron to get some
more photos of my Killearn
on the Web site. While I was there
a got photos of my old high school. Well what is left of it,
because they kooked most of it done to build houses. I also some
photos of the new Balfron High School. It looks well cool, I
really need to ask someone, if I can get a look around it some
day.
When I got back from doing that I watched Neighbours. Then I
got really for going a cycle into Glasgow. If I had knowing before
I went just, how wet I was going to get I would have stayed at
home. When I say, wet, I get really wet. I think that I would
have been drying if I had jumped into the river Clyde. I may
have got really wet, but I am still really glad that I did it,
because I provied to myself that I can still do it. I can't remember
the last time that I went a cycle into Glasgow. The cycle is
about 34 miles in total. By the time that you add cycling to
Balfron and cycling around Glasgow, I well have done at least
40 miles today.
When I got back from getting very wet, I jumped in a nice and
warm shower to warm myself up a bit. |
Tuesday - 29th July 2003 |
I did not really do that much
at all today, other then watch TV and do work to The
Gay Glasgow site.
But I also did something really great. In the evening I went
to Delmonias, a gay pub in Glasgow to meet up with one of my
friends that I have not seen in at least 2 years. It was really
great to catch up with him. He really helped me a lot, because
I got to speak to him, about all the things that have happened
to me in the last number of months. So thanks very much Craig
for a great evening.
When I got back home I did not really do much, other then watch
some more TV and play about on the Internet. |
Wednesday - 30th July 2003 |
Today was a really great day.
Mum and Dad, oh and of course me all went to The
Falkirk Wheel, in yes you guessed it Falkirk. I had been
wanting to go and see it since it opened in 2001. If you have
never been, then I would really remmond that you go. It's a great
day out.
Once we had watched all the boats go up
and down on the wheel, we went to Falkirk town centre. Falkirk
reminds me of a lot of ways of a smaller version of Stirling.
Once we had done in Falkirk, my Mum and Dad went home. And I
got the train from Falkirk to Glasgow. Because today was my last
full day in Scotland, if I had not gone in today. I would have
waited still the next time, that I am up in Scotland.
When I was in Glasgow I had a good look around lots of shops.
Oh and of course I had to pay something. I could not go to Glasgow
and not get something. I got myself a very nice t-shirt from
the O'Neill shop in the Buchanan Galleries. Just don't ask how
much it cost me. lol. .
Once I had done in Glasgow I give my wee bother a phone, just
has he was leaving work and he very nicely give me a lift back
home to Killearn.
When I got back home I helped my Dad do some DIY. I getting
very good at it, mainly because I use to do lots and lots of
DIY for my last boyfriend. |
Friday - 1st August 2003 |
In the morning I finished
up-packed all my stuff from getting back from Glasgow the
other night. Then I installed a CD-Copier in my desktop computer,
it's all the years of having a PC, I have ever had a CD-Copier
in my life. I am so glad that my Dad got me one. It means that
I will have another way to back things up, other then having
to use my Zip Drive all the time.
Matthew come around in the morning. He the whole day here till
he had to go off to work at 4:30pm. While he was here we had
a good chat about everything that we have both done in last week.
It was great to catch up again. While he was here, we also went
to The
Willoughby Arms with Mark to get something to drink and of
course food.
In the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. I would not believe just how died it
was for a Friday night, there was just over 100 and something
people in the Restaurant.
When I got back home I watched some TV with my my new Freeview box.
They my Mum and Dad very nicely give to me when I was up in Scotland.
It will be better still when I get "Multiplex 2" working,
because with out that one I don't get ITV1, ITV2, Channel
4, Teletext etc.
At least I get all the BBC Channel's
and the music ones, because they are the ones that I find myself
watching the most. |
Monday - 4th August 2003 |
I can't believe just how hot
it's been today. It's really been to hot to do anything at all.
So I ended up spending most the day indoors. To think that the
weather people think it may it over 35C this week. I hope that
it does not get that hot, I am 2 hot already.
At least I did spend some time outside. I washed my mountain
bike and give it quick service. So it's now the cleaned that is
has looked in a long time. It nearly look's like a new bike, which
is not 2 bad, because I have had it now for over 7 years I think
it is.
I have also been having fun watching BBC 1 Scotland on Satellite.
It's great now that the good old BBC have put all the local regions
and BBC Scotland and Wales on Satellite. It means that I can
keep up-to-date with everything that is going on in Scotland.
In
the afternoon Matthew come around for about 15 minutes. He could
not stay any longer, because he was only on his lunch break from
work, but it was great to see him all the same.
When Matthew went back to work. Mark and me went to Grantham
to pick up a van and also went to Asda to
get food.
In the evening I had a very big fire. Burning lots and lots
of garden stuff. You may remember the last time I had a fire
in the back garden, it was at least double the size of that one.
Then after all that, in the evening Mark and me went to The
Willoughby Arms to get food. Then when I got back home
I spend the rest of the evening speaking to a very nice guy
from the US. |
Thursday - 7th August 2003 |
In the morning a had a driving
lesson. It did not really go that well today. It think it was
mainly because it's the first time, that I have done any driving
since I got back from Scotland. In other words I had not done
any driving for just over 2 weeks. I also don't think that the
hot weather helped.
In the afternoon Matthew come around for the whole day. We had
got here, we both run to my room because Neighbours was just
to start and we both the to see if Darcy was going to get found
out. Which he did and about them too. It's been the best story
line that Neighbours has had in a long time.
Then after Neighbours we waited for it to cool down a bit, because
both doing out on ours bikes. He did not really go that far mainly
because of now hot, it is. We stopped at a river, just next to
the East Coast mainline to cool of in the water and bit. And
also get to some photos of me, for my Wetsuitlads website.
Once I had dried off a bit, I ended up cycling down, in my wetsuit
and a t-shirt on.
Once we both got. We both had a quick wash then went off out
into Peterborough to go Frankie
and Bennys to get food. I had not been to the one in Peterborough
for a good number of years. I love Frankie
and Bennys there food is always go good.
Then after that we went Ten Pin Bowling. I had not been in a
long time. I only won, one game out of three. But that's better
then nothing. I can be a bit of bad loser at times .
As I think Matthew found out tonite.
Once we got back to my place Matthew helped me sort out my photos,
for the Wetsuitlads
website.
Then it was off to bed. |
Sunday - 10th August 2003 |
Oh my god. I can't believe
just now hot it was today. It was why to hot for my liking. No
wonder I was way to hot, because later on in the day, I found
out that it was the hottest day in the UK since records begin.
It hit 38.1C (100.6F) in Gravesend, Kent. Now that is HOT!!!
I find 22C just about right for me.
In the afternoon I had a number of hours sleep, mainly because
it's been way to hot, this week at night. So I have not really
been sleeping that well. Lucky my Dad phoned me, to see how things
are going. If he had not phoned I think that I would have been
asleep for a lot longer.
In the evening I was a cycle into Stamford to see Matthew at
work. But when I get there, he just had gone over to the main
store to do something. It would have been great to get to see
him. But at least I still got something to drink and also so
sweets. When I was cycling back it started to rain, so I got
a bit wet. But I did not really mind too much, because I have
got got wet 3 times this year. Which is not bad at all with all
the cycling that I have been doing. |
Monday - 11th August 2003 |
In the morning I had a driving
lesson. It did not go as well as I would have liked it to go.
But it still went better then Thursday did. So at least there
was one good thing about it. I think that I lot of it could be
because I have not been sleeping too well, with it being so hot.
I went to bed last night at 12:00am and was still awake at 4:00am.
In the afternoon Mark and me went into Stamford to get food,
get things to connect the dishwasher, to the water and also to
the waste, then we went to Morrisons to
get food. Then I had to go to the bank to do some business and
personal banking.
Then later in the afternoon once Mark and me had got back from
Stamford. Matthew come around on his lunch break from work for
about 15 minutes.
Then Mark and me spend a good number of hours getting the dishwasher
all connected up and working.
Then in the evening I had a cycle into Stamford and back. I
have now made up my mind, that I went to try to have done 1000
this year. So have I have done 754.9 miles, meaning that I still
have meaning that I still have 245.1 miles to do. I will be over
the moon, if I can do it.
Then Mark and me went to the "local" to get food.
Yes you guessed right we went to The
Willoughby Arms. |
Wednesday - 13th August 2003 |
I now starting to get very
pissed off indeed. In the morning I had my second go at doing
the theory test. And yes I failed it again. I passed the multiple-choice
bit again. I got 34 out, of 35. Meaning that I passed that area,
by 4 marks. But I failed on the hazard perception bit again.
I start to think that I am never going to pass it. With it costing £18
at a time to do it, I am fast starting to run out of money. So
lets just hope that it's third time lucky.
When I got back from Grantham where, I did the test. I ended
up going to bed for a while, mainly because I was feeling a very
pissed off, by the whole thing. So failing it put me on bit of
a downer for the whole day.
Once
I got back. I had some food while watching Neighbours on BBC1.
Then I went a cycle into Stamford and back again. To try my best
to unwind a bit. I think that it did help me a bit.
Then I went to Huntingdon to help out with running an Duathlon.
Before you ask, I did not take part. I was only there to mainly
take photos and call out peoples number as they run past me.
Then on the way back we calling in at the dog
track to get food. |
Thursday - 14th August 2003 |
In the morning I did had a
shower like a have every day. I can't stand starting the day
with out having one. I did a washing, washed all the dash's that
can't go though the dash-washer. Then I did a bit of work to
the Nottingham
Gay Scene website, trying to get it fully updated before
Nottingham Pride which is on the 30 August 2003. Which of course
I will be going to.
In the afternoon Matthew come around. He got here just in time
to watch Neighbours together.
The story lines in the Neighbours have
been really great in the last number of weeks. Then we went to
Rutland Water to go, for a nice walk and for a look around.
Then once we got back from Rutland Water, we were hoping to
get more photos done for the Wetsuitlads website,
but the farmer was in the field that we used last time and we
could not think of anywhere else to take the photos.
Then in the evening we went to the Little
Chef, at South Witham on the A1. The food was very nice
indeed. So thanks very much Matthew for taking me there.
When we got back we walked Pebbles, but we did not take her
to far, mainly because it was starting to get dark.
Then after all that we watched America Pie 2 on DVD. I got forgetting
just how good the film was. I think watching it made Matthew
night. I will now just need to watch the first America Pie again.
Then go the see the third one at the chimera. |
Saturday - 16th August 2003 |
I did not really do that much
at all today. I had lots of things that I was hoping to do. But
for some reason, I ended up spending most of the day on the Internet,
sorting out more on the wetsuitlads website and getting back
to emails that I have been meaning to for a long time.
I did do one good thing and that with the walk Pebbles with
Mark, so at least I did not spend the whole day on the net.
Then with it being a Saturday. I was of course working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. For a Satursday night, things went very
well indeed. While I was at work. I booked the 30th August
off, for going to Nottingham Pride. I just hope that it's good.
Then after work I went out with some people that I work with
to get a Pizza. |
Monday - 18th August 2003 |
In the morning I had a driving
lesson. I went to Spalding where the local test centre is. You
would not believe just how many one-way streets there is there.
Once I get use to all of them, I don't think that it will be
too bad of a place to do my driving test. My driving instructor
also took me into the test centre building to show me the room
that I would be waiting in just before I do my driving test.
For the first time in a while, I feel like I am starting to get
somewhere again will my driving. There are still some things
that I did the work on, but I am getting there.
Once I got back from my driving lesson Mark and me sorted out
the cupboard under the starts. I took us a number of hours, to
get it done. But there is so much more room in it you would not
believe.
Then I played about on the Internet for a while. Watching some
TV. Then I started sorting out the aerial cables in the house.
To try to work out why I can’t get one of the multiplexes.
I got it sorted so, I am very happy indeed. I can now get ITV1,
ITV2, Channel 4 and Teletext. I just need to do a bit more work
to it. Then I will have fully sorted out, once and for all.
Then in evening Mark and me went to Morrisons in Stamford to
get food for the week, ahead. While we were there we also called
in to see Matthew at work. Then we went to a Fish and Crisp shop
to get sometime to eat.
Then from Stamford I drive in Peterborough, with Mark to pick
up Sam from work. I felt sorry for Sam, because he had ever been
in the car before when I was driving. But it can’t have
been to bad, because we all got back home in one bit. |
Thursday - 21st August 2003 |
In the morning I get my room
a very big clean up, ready for Matthew coming around later. I was
empted the dish washing etc.
Mathew turned up right in the middle of Neighbours, if any one
else what done, that I would have not been at all happy. But
since it was Matthew, I let him get away with it, this once.
When Neighbours had finished we went a nice walk with the dog.
Then we went into Peterborough to have a look around the shops.
While we were there I got some new trousers for work. A birthday
card for my younger brother Craig, as it is his birthday on the
24th August. I also got some more new cables for my Dolby Prologic
Surround system, so that I can have my Freeview box, DVD player
and also my VCR connected to it all at the same time.
Then in the evening Mathew and me went to the The
Willoughby Arms to get food. We also had to order food
for Mark and Ash, who should have got there at about 9:45pm,
but did not get there till about 10:00pm, so by that time there
food was cold.
When we got back from the pub. We all could not believe it.
Sam had not one girl, but two girl with him. All right for some.
lol. I was just not very happy about it, because of them I could
not get to sleep till about 5:00am. So I was not at all happy.
I was so pissed off at one point, I ended up going a walk at
4:00am. |
Sunday - 24th August 2003 |
First of all I would like
to wish my wee brother Craig a happy birthday. He's now 20. Which
makes me feel very old indeed, because that means that I am going
to be 24 soon.
Now on to today's new. When I got up I was both screamed and
excited at the same time, because I was meeting a guy off of the
Internet called Ian. That I have been speaking to for a number
of days. I normally would get to know the person a lot more first,
by you only life once.
I spend most of the morning cleaning up the house to make it
look as nice as I could for him coming around. I also did some
gardening for a number of hours. Mainly because it would stop
me walking up and down waiting for him to get there.
Ian got there at about 5:00pm. The first thing I thought was
mmm, very nice indeed. The first thing I did was to often him
a drink like any true gentleman would. He only wanted a drink
of water, which I could not believe. Mainly because I don't know
many people who drink just water.
Then we just sit in my room having a good long chat about life
and getting to know each other. With me driving him up the wall
with some of the mad MP3s that I have.
Then we both went a nice long walk together. Then when we got
back we went to local pub to have a drink and for me to get food.
He did not have anything because he had a big lunch and we still
feeling full.
Then we spoke someone before going to sleep. |
Monday - 25th August 2003 |
I had to get up at 8:30am
in the morning to get ready for my driving lesson which was at
9:30am. I did feel very sorry for Ian, because he also got waking
up. But it was alright for him because got to go back to sleep
while I was out.
My driving lesson went not too badly for the second week in
a row. I went back to Spalding again where I will be doing my
driving test. I think I am starting to get my head around all
the one-ways streets there a bit more.
When I got back from my driving lesson. Ian was not that long
awake and out of bed. I wish that I could have stayed in bed
till 11:00am too.
We just spend the rest of the day till he had to go home, just
getting to know each other more. I think that he would make a
great boyfriend. But he it still trying to get over his last
boyfriend, that he went out with for over 2 and half years. So
only time will tell if anything, is going to happen or not.
Once he had gone back home... I had sleep for a while. As I
did not had get over much sleep last night, because my room was
2 hot.
Then in the evening Matthew, Mark and me went to the local pub
to get food. There also had there August Bank holiday Beer & Music
Festival on. There was a band there called mesh-29 which
was very, very good indeed. If you want to download some of their
music go to their website at http://www.bernardomahoney.com/mesh29/. |
Saturday - 30th August 2003 |
My alarm went off at 8:30am,
but I did not end up getting out of bed till about 9:00am. The
time that Matthew should have been around to pick me up. But
lucky for me when I got up he had not turned up. I had a quick
shower and made myself look as nice as I could ready for going
to Nottingham
Pride with Matthew.
But when I switched my mobile on, I got a text message from
his saying that he could not make it which pissed me off. I was
so pissed off when I down to the kitchen to get a soft drink,
I ended up having a Smirnoff
Ice. In my whole life, I had never had a drink at 10:00am
in the morning. So as you can no doubt tell I was just a bit
pissed out. But lucky he did change his mind and he did end up
going.
We got
to Nottingham
Pride a bit late. But I don't think that we really missed
much at all. It was a bit small for my liking. All that was there
were, some stalls and bands playing. Lucky the weather was good
for it. If it had been bad, I don't think that anyone would have
gone, because about 95% of it was outside. But it was not all
bad, because at least Matthew got to go to this first Pride or
gay Fete as I liked to call this one.
While we were in Nottingham we all had a good look around all
the shops. It's the first that that I have been in Nottingham
since April.
I would like to thank Matthew for a good day. With out Matthew,
it would not have happened.
In the evening I got the back grass cut and walked the dog,
before it got dark. Then just speak to some people on the Internet
and of course did some work to some of my website's.
|
Sunday - 31st August 2003 |
I think that I did really
well in the morning. Why I hear you ask, because I got up in
it. I was out of bed by 10am, which for a Sunday is very good
for me indeed. Once I got up, I just played about on the Internet
for a while, before having a shower.
In the afternoon I had something to eat before, going a nice
walk with the dog and having a chat with Jamie at the same time,
who I have not spoken to in a while.
Once
I got back going walking the dog. I had a look on the map to make
up my mind where to go a cycle to. I made up my mind to cycle
to Tallington, mainly because it will get my total miles up. The
cycle worked out at just over 22 miles in total. I also did the
cycle because it's a good place to watch train go up and down
the East Coast mainline. On the way back, I called in at Matthew's
work to say a quick hello.
But after that cycle, I am lucky to still be with us. A white
van just missed hitting me by about 1", 2" max. I had
never got off the road, so fast in my life. But lucky I will
live to flight another day. I will just have to make a note,
to myself when I am is a white van on the road, to get all it.
When I got back home. I give myself a clean wash, then Mark
and me went to the local to get food and something to drink. |
Monday - 1st September 2003 |
Oh my god. It's September
already I can't believe just how fast this year as gone by so
far. Being September it also means that I am going to turn 24.
God I am feeling starting to get old. At least I don't look my
age. Well I don't think that I do. So that's the main thing.
In the morning I had a driving lesson. Today I went into Peterborough
for the first with my driving instructor. It did not go to bad.
I am just not use to driving on roads, that I have never on or
seen in my while life. The main thing I found out today, that
I really need to work on is round-about's. But I am sure that
after some work, I will get use to them.
Then in the afternoon Mark and me went a drive into Grantham
to pick up a van, for him going down to London. Meaning that
I got to drive there. hehehe. Having fun driving on the A1. I
am starting to get a lot more use to the A1 with thanks to my
great driving instructor. When we were in Grantham we also went
into Asda to
get food.
Then when I got back home I went a quick cycle into Stamford
and back. Then Mark and me went to the local pub to get food. |
Sunday - 7th September 2003 |
I did not end up getting out
of bed still well after 1:00pm. Very bad of me, I know. But working
Saturday night for 6:00pm to 11:00pm, does really take it out
of me. Running about all night and being on my feet all night,
does make me very tired indeed.
When I ended up getting out of bed. I watched some TV and of
course, chatting to some mates on the Internet. Before going
a cycle into Stamford and back. I have now done over 940 miles.
So it looks like I am going to hit to 1000 mile mark, by the
end of September which will make me very happy indeed.
In the evening I helped a friend test out a new website that
he is working on. I really like what he has done to it so far,
it can be found at www.kagoul.com.
I also spoke to Barry on ICQ for a while. Before going to the
local with Mark to get food. |
Monday - 8th September 2003 |
I feel ready bad now, because
of the second day in row, I had a long lie in. I think my whole
life is getting to turn into one big lie in. I have normally
have to be up at 8:30am on a Monday. But I did not have a driving
lesson,. because it has been moved to Tuesday at 2:30pm for this
week.
I spend a while today, sorting out more of this website. Removed
areas of the website, that are no longer in use. And also made
all the titles on the pages look like the one on this page.
Then Mark and me walked the dog. Before going to Morrisons to
get food for this week. I liked going because I got to drive
there and back.
Once we got back I just watched some more TV and did some more
work to my Wetsuitlads
website.
Oh if you have not already voted for me on Wetsuitlads,
please can you do so.
Then in the evening I watched something on BBC
Four, for the first time in my life. It was very good indeed
it was all about Trade Unions. Mark and me went to the local
to get food.
When I got back from the pub I speak to Barry again on the Internet
for a couple of hours. I did not end up getting to bed till after
2:30am, because I had to watch Bob and Margaret, then of course
Dilbert which are the two best things on FTN. |
Saturday - 13th September 2003 |
I wake up at about 10:00am,
but as do I just closed my eyes for a couple of minutes and the
next thing it was gone 11:30am. If it had not been for the dog
braking at the post man, I think I would have been asleep for
a lot longer.
When I did get up I did all the normal boring stuff like download
all my emails, then deleting most of them. Why, oh why do I never
get any good ones now-a-days? Oh well at least I have less to
read, that's one good thing. I have had a shower and put stuff
in the washing machine.
Once I had done that I went a cycle to Tallington and back,
which worked out at just over 24 miles in total. I did the cycle
in just over 1 hour and 50 minutes which is not 2 bad at all.
I could have done it in a better time, if the wind had not been
so bad. But I am still very, very happy indeed. I have now done
997.3 miles this year. Meaning that on Sunday, I will hit the
very big 1000 mile mark.
In the evening I was working at the dog track in Peterborough.
I could not believe just how busy it was. I am starting to go
up in the world, I got one of the radio things, so that I could
speak to other staff and they could tell me what wine they needed
etc. The only really bad thing about tonight, was that the wine
list was wrong big time and I have no idea why at all.
Once I got home from work I watched some stuff on BBC
Three to unwind before going to bed. |
Monday - 15th September 2003 |
In the morning at 9:30am,
I had a two-hour driving lesson. I went to Spalding again. I
think that I did not too badly at all again. Yes I am sure that
you’re getting bored of me saying that all the time. I
think that I did not stall the car once in the whole lesson.
The first time that I have stalled the car in driving lesson,
since I started to learn to drive.
In the evening I went a cycle in to Stamford and back. So I
now very, very happy indeed. Because I have how done over 1000
miles so far this year on my bike.
Once I got back from my cycle. Mark and me went a walk with
dog, before going to the local to get food.
Oh and just one more thing before I go. I going to be 24 this
time today, in two weeks. I just hope that it's a happy birthday
then I had last year. The thing I am really looking forward
to, is going down to London with Matthew. The
Saturday before, my birthday and also having a two hour driving
lesson on my Birthday. |
Thursday - 18th September 2003 |
I got up at about 10:00am,
had a quick shower, downloaded all my emails, then started the
job of getting all my things packed for going to Glasgow for
the weekend. Yes I know I should have left getting packed the
last thing. But hey who care's that's just me.
Matthew got
to my place at about 11:50am. To take me to the train station
in Peterborough. I could not believe it was once it was on-line
time. Well done Matthew .
Before we left to get me to train station, we give the dog a
quick walk.
On the way to the train station Peterborough we called in at Tesco in
Market Deeping so that I should have something to eat and drink
on the train.
When we got to the train station we found out that 1:44pm train
was running about 10 minutes, oh well these things happened at
since it was not too late. I would like to say a very big thank-you
to Matthew for
taking me to the train station.
The train journey was not too bad at all. A very cute guy got
on the train at York, which also helped .
He was sitting on seat 57, in E Coach. So if you were that guy,
please can you contact
me. I can't see him reading this website, but who knows.
The only bad thing about the train journey, was that my train
ticket had me sitting in coach E the "quiet coach" on GNER's 225
trains. But over then half way into the journey, I found out
that the "quiet coach" on this train was coach D. Which
made me happy, because I could get to use my laptop and have
music on after all.
Just in case you wanted to know the music that I had playing
on my GNER train
journey was David Sneddon album Seven Years - Ten Weeks. Which
I think is a very good person to listen to because he stay's
not that far from Glasgow.
I got in Glasgow Central station right on time, where my Dad
was very nicely waiting to give me a lift back to Killearn.
When I got back home my Mum had just cooked some flat sasses
for me. I really miss them when I am in England, because you
can only really get them in Scotland.
Then I just spend the rest of the day watching TV with my Mum
and Dad. And just chatting about anything and everything. I even
had to tell my Mum that Matthew is
not my boyfriend. That he's just a friend who also happens to
be gay. |
Friday - 19th September 2003 |
In the morning I went to my
Bank of Scotland branch in Killearn to pay in some money. Because
going into Balloch with my Mum to get some new Jeans for my birthday.
But instead of coming home with just one pair of jeans. I can't
up coming back home with 2 pairs of jeans and also some new shoes.
They only cost £12 and I really liked them, so of course
I was not going to say no to getting them.
Once I got back from Balloch. I watched Neighbours on BBC1 Scotland,
before my wee brother Craig very nicely indeed give me a lift
in Glasgow. I was not in Glasgow for that long at all. I was
there for about 1 hour, but most of that time was using with
me walking from the West End into the city centre, which is at
least a 2 mile walk. So I only had the time to get my Dad and
big brother birthday cards, because my Dad give me a lift back
to Killearn.
In the evening I had fun in the loft sorting out the aerial
so that I could get a better picture on my TV in the back bed
room. I was very pleased indeed with my job. I got get a very
good picture on it indeed. Other then that I did watched some
TV and played about with some of my website's. |
Sunday - 21st September 2003 |
In the morning Mum, Dad of
me went out to have lunch. Then we went to the Trossachs
Holiday Park, which as a very good bike shop, so that I could
get new front and back tyres from my mountain bike. I could not
believe just how chap we got them for. They should have cost £29.99
each but we got them for £20 in total. I would really like
to thank my Mum and Dad getting them my birthday. Means that
for the first time in a while, I can use my bike safely again.
Then we went to the Museum of Transport
in Glasgow,
where my wee brother Craig works. To have a look around and
also some that my Dad could get some stuff from the gift shop
there.
Then we did something that I have never
done before in my life. We went to a cash and cary. I have
never see a place like like it in all my life. I am so when
I was there a sore a UK map book and just had to get it. It's
got a scale of 1 and 1/2 miles to 1inch which is very good
indeed.
When I got back to Killearn.
I just spoke to people on the Internet, did more work to my Wetsuitlads
website and sorted out all my things for going back down
to England, tomorrow. |
Monday - 22nd September 2003 |
In the morning I had a shower,
then went up to the local bank to pay money in. Then I went a walk
around the village with my digital camera to get more photos of
my Killearn
on the Web site. When I got back from doing that I did the
fun job of trying to get all my stuff into my bags. I always end
up taken more things down to England then I come up with. I had
the fun of getting two bike tyres, more compact
discs and a new pair of shoes into my bike. But lucky I
get them all in my bag, just.
My Dad very nicely finished work early so that he and my Mum
could take me into Glasgow to
get the 6:00pm GNER London
King Cross train service back down to Peterborough. As normal
when I got there about 45 minutes early the train was already
their waiting for me. So I said my good-byes to my Mum and Dad
then got on the train.
When I got on the train I was very happy indeed, because this
time I did not have a table seat, like I did no the way up to Glasgow.
I not a great fan of having to sit with three other people that
I don’t know. I also don't like using a laptop on one,
because I end up using more then half of my side of the table.
While I was on the train I updated this website, Wetsuitlads and also Sports Sunday. I can tell that I am not really use to
long train journey's again, because I was bored by the time I
got to Newcastle, which is not even half way into the journey.
At least my laptop battery did a got job, it get me all the way
from Motherwell to Grantham before I had to use my second battery.
The train got me into Peterborough about 10 minutes late. When
I got there Matthew very waiting there to give me a lift back
to Little Bytham. Which was very nice of him indeed.
When I got back home I had a chat with Matthew, before he had
to go back home. Once we was gone I unpacked all of my
stuff, before going to bed. |
Wednesday - 24th September 2003 |
In the morning I cycled into
Stamford to meet up with a friend that I have been speaking to
on the Internet for some while. I did not cycle in as fast as
I normally would, because I only hope my new front and back types
on the other day and I wanted to make sure that they were put
on well, before I cycling like a mad man.
Once I got into Stamford and found Tom. I am so glad that he
looks like the photos that I have seen of him. Then we found
a safe place to lock my bike up. Before going to his local to
get something to drink and for him to have something to eat.
Then we just had a nice chat about anything and everything.
Then we went to Stamford Meadows and found a nice bit of grass
to sit on next to the River Welland. Then we chatted some more
and looking at some cute college students. Before I had to cycle
back to home Little Bytham to get ready for going to work.
I had a great day with Tom. I am sure that I will be meeting
up with him again soon, but it will not be for over a week, because
he is going to Oxford for a week to see his Mum and Dad.
Then in the evening I was working at the do track in Peterborough. |
Thursday - 25th September 2003 |
In the morning, I did the
normal boring stuff like get out of bed, which is always a good
start. Cleaning up room, put a washing on etc.
In the afternoon Matthew come around. We both watched Neighbours on
BBC1 before, going into Stamford so that he could get his hair
cut. I could not believe it, he got his hair cut for free. The
woman said because he was so nice she did not want his money.
Why do things like that never happened to me?
Then in the evening Mark, Matthew and me went to The
Willoughby Arms, the local pub to get food. |
Saturday - 27th September 2003 |
Today
is the big day, I had been looking forward to this day for a
long, long time. All that I had been told about it from Matthew that
we were both going down to London for the day.
I did not start to work out more about it till he give me my
birthday card. In it it had tickets for the London
Eye and also a First Class GNER rail
ticket. Which I could not believe at all. He had been winding
me up for weeks saying that we where going to London by WAGN.
So when I found out there were GNER tickets,
that made me really happy, but First Class, I could not believe
it. When got a GNER 125
Diesel train down, which has great in it's self. I had only ever
used GNER 225s
trains before.
When Matthew and
me got to London Kings Cross Station, oh and of course on time
with it being GNER.
We got on the London Underground, I could not believe just how
hot it was and it's late September. I don't even what to think
how hot it gives in the middle on summer, on a very hot day.
We got the Underground to Green Park station.
Then we went a walk from there to the London
Eye. We walked there via 10 Downing Street, which was nice
to see, because I had only ever see it before on the news etc.
More soon... keep watching this space!!! Well one day...
|
Sunday - 28th September 2003 |
I did not get to sleep till
about 6:00am in the morning. All because Mark and Ben had left
things till the late minute and had to stay up all night doing
it. So I was just a bit pissed off, because I really needed my
sleep with being in London all yesterday. So I really could have
done with a good nights sleep. Oh well these things happen.
Other then what I did not really do much at all today. Just
watched TV and sorted out some things on my websites. |
Monday - 29th September 2003 |
I can't believe it, I am now
24. It will not be long at all till I am 30 lol. What does really
make me feel old is that I have been doing this website since
I was 17.
The birthday card that I got from my Mum and Dad made me cry
it was so nice. On the outside it read "Son, hope you don't
think you're someone pretty special just 'cos it's your birthday!" Then
inside it said "You're pretty special every day of the year!" Which
is the big that I got me crying. So thanks Mum and Dad for that
really great card. It did really make my day.
In the morning I had a driving lesson. It did not go as well
has it has done the next number of weeks. I stalled the car,
for the first time in a while. Maybe it's just got something
to do with that I am now 24 and getting old and past it.
Other then that I did not really do that much at all. Just the
way that I like it. I am not really into doing things for my
birthday. |
