In the morning I give my
room a clean. As it had dog hairs everywhere. Why can't I have
a dog that does not lose has much hair as Pebbles does. As much
as I love her, it's one of the things that does drive me mad
about her. I could clean my room everyday and still find lots
of dog hairs in it.
I was very happy because the new font light that I ordered
for my bike a number of days ago from cyclestuff,
turned up in the post today. So at long last I will be abel
to cycle in dark and not get hint my cars that can't see me.
I have had a back light for a bike for a while, but no front
one. Why I can never remember.
Matthew come around for a couple of minutes to pick up his
laptop, that he had left, for me to copy some photos etc onto
it.
In the afternoon I spent a number of hours re-designed all
the pages on The
Gay Glasgow site to make them look better with mainly Netscape
7, but it should now also look better with IE too. Then
I went a dog with Pebbles for about 1/2 hour. I can't believe
just how cold it has got. To think just over a week ago, I
was still out on my bike wearing shorts.
In the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. Lucky it went not 2 badly at all for
a Saturday night. I had not been looking forward to it for
a while, mainly because I had not done any Saturday nights
for a while, with being in Scotland and going to London for
my birthday with Matthew. Ash did not too bad of a job of
being the new "bar boss". I was also happy because
the wine list was right, thank god.
Then after work Ash, Chris, Mark and me went to get pizza.
Which was very nice indeed. I had not been out after work for
a while to get food.
I ended up staying up to well after 3:30am, because I just
had to watch BBC3 to
see Alex win Fame Academy 2003. So well done Alex. You were
by fair the best person on the program. |
Sunday - 5th October 2003 |
I did not get up today, till
after 12:00pm. Because I was up go late last night watching Fame
Academy on BBC3.
When I did get up I just watching some TV, sorted out some things
on my website's and also got the fire going to stop the house
from getting too cold.
Then I went a cycle to Castle
Bytham and back. I did not go a long cycle today, because
it's getting to get far to cold, of my liking. I don't really
like cycling far, when it starts to get cold. But I till tiring
to get has much cycling done, as I can before it gets way to
cold.
Once I got back from my cycle I made a start on getting this
page updated again at long last.
In the early evening just before it started to get dark. Mark
and me went a walk with Pebbles to Jimmy's Stile and back.
Then once we got back from doing that. We both watched Born
to Win, that I had recored on BBC1 last
night, because going to The
Willoughby Arms to get food. |
Monday - 6th October 2003 |
In the morning I did not really
do not much at all. Other then play about with the "News
Mutiscreens" that the BBC are
currently testing on their BBCi text
service on Freeview.
The sooner they get it 100% live the better. It will give me
something else to play about with on my TV when I can't find
anything better to do.
Then in the afternoon I spoke to my ex David on MSN. It was
nice to chat to him again and it not to end in a shouting match,
on MSN. Like it has done, many, many times before.
Then after that Mark and me went to Grantham to get food from Asda and
also for him to get a van for him going down to London tomorrow.
Then in the evening I just watched some TV and chatting to some
more people on the net. And started to do more stuff on my theory
and hazard perception test. I really, really want to pass it
again, when I do it later this week. If I fail it again, I will
be very pissed off indeed. |
Wednesday - 8th October 2003 |
I am so happy. In the morning
I went to Grantham to have my third go at taken the car theory
test and the really good news is that I passed it. So it was
third time lucky. Read my driving
page to find out more.
Then in the afternoon Mark and me went into Stamford Meadows
to take Pebbles a nice walk. I think she really liked it. She
had never been a walk before there.
Then once we get back. I got changed then it was off to Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium for a night of fun and games. Or as other
people call it work. |
Friday - 10th October 2003 |
Matthew and me did not get
up till about 11:00am. We we did get up in the end we went a
nice walk with Pebbles to Jimmy's Stile and back. We got back
just in time to watch Neighbours.
Then we played Microsoft. Train Simulator, yes I don't normally
like Microsoft, but they are very good indeed at doing good simulator
games. I think that he really liked the game. Can't wait till
they bring out the second version of it. Which as far as I know
should be coming out later this year.
In the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. I use to really enjoy working there,
but after tonight. I don't really want to go back. After some
of the comments that someone who works there made about me.
He made a comment about me being dyslexic. Which did not go
down very well with me at all. It up set me so much I found
any reason that I could do be on the other Restaurant bar.
If he says anything to me on Saturday night, like it again.
I think that I will be writing a letter about it, to the people
who own the place. |
Sunday - 12th October 2003 |
I did not wake up today till
about 1:30pm. God I must have been, really, really in need of
sleep, to wake up that late. Once I got up off bed, I just did
the normal stuff like have a shower, light the fire etc.
In the afternoon just before it started to get dark. Mark and
me went to drive to Morkery Woods, just the other side of Castle
Bytham to walk Pebbles. The walk took us about 45 minutes. I
can't believe just how cold, it has got today. Just to think
the other day I was out on my bike in shorts and t-shirt.
Then in the evening Mark and me went to The
Willoughby Arms to get food. Then when I got back I phoned
up my Mum and Dad to see how they are getting on. My Mum has
just got and got herself a Digital Camera. I will now need
to get a new one to try to keep up with everyone else in my
family. |
Saturday - 18th October 2003 |
Sorry that I have not updated
my website for just under a week. I have been in bed with the
flu since Monday. It has really, really hit me for six. I had
to cancel a driving lesson, because of it. Which did really piss
me off, because I was looking forward to getting my driving test
sorted out.
I can't believe just how much sleep I have had since Monday
been getting about 10 hour of sleep at least a day. About the
only good thing about not being well, is that I have had the
time to watch lots of DVD. Some far I have watched Bridget Jones's
Diary, The Green Mile, Batman, Queer As Folk both the first and
second sessions.
I did go to work on Friday night, because I was feeling a lot
better. But only a couple of hours back into work again. I started
to feel, very unwell again. I don't think it's the flu coming
back. I think it's just a bad cold now. But with being in bed
and not really eating anthing else Monday, I really need to get
my energy levels back up again. At least it was not 2 bad of
a nite. We sold over 60 bottles of wine, which is not 2 bad at
all. Better still the wine list, was all right.
Now to get on to, today. I did not wake up fully till about
3:00pm. Got out of bed. Then just play about on the net and watched
some TV. |
Sunday - 19th October 2003 |
When I got up in the morning
I had felt the best that I had done in about a week. That's the
flu just about fully gone and about time too. How that I have
is a really had cold.
Matthew come around in the morning. We watched some TV before
going into Bourne so that he could show me is new house. It looks
very nice from the outside. It still needs a bit of work done
to it. But it will be very nice once it's fully sorted out. Then
we went from there to Stamford for a walk around, we were not
outside for that long. I can't believe just how cold it has got.
Then in the evening Mark, Matthew and me went to The
Willoughby Arms to get food. It was so nice to get a nice
meal inside of me again. The first time that I had eating so
much since last Sunday. |
Monday - 20th October 2003 |
In the morning I 9:30am I
had a driving lesson. I was happy because I did not have to cancel
it this time. It went OK, but nothing to great. I don't think
I did too badly, since I have not done any driving in about 2
weeks, with being in bed not well at all with the flu for just
over a week.
When I got back from my driving lesson. I just watched some
TV and of course played about on the net. What a fun life a have,
NOT! The sooner I get 100% better, the better. The sooner I can
start to get out on my bike all the time again.
In the afternoon when playing about with my Freeview box,
has you do. I found that the BBC has
got there "News Mutiscreens" working again. If you
have no idea what I am playing about. Go to BBC
News 24 (Channel 40) and press the RED or TEXT button and
select Mutiscreens. I think they are so cool, but then I was
always just a bit said .
Then in the evening at long last I made a start writing about
the big day to London, that I had back in September with Matthew.
Yes it's taken me this long to get around to making a start on
it. Click here to
read what I have written so far about the big day. |
Tuesday - 21st October 2003 |
During the day I did do much
at all, other then the normal boring stuff like have a shower,
watch some television and surf the net.
But the evening work at the dog track was so much fun you would
not believe. This new guy called Tom has just started, he is
so cute you would not believe. He is only 16, but so camp. So
I spend the whole night chatting him up. The pour wee young could
not work out what was so happy. Because all the other bar stuff
were finding it so funny. So I found a way of getting him in
the lift, don't worry not too do anything. Then I asked him,
if he is gay or not. He said no he's not, but if he does turn
I will be the first to know. Oh well at least it's not a no fuck
off Gordon. So I can't wait will Saturday night when he's next
working again.
If it had not been for that work, would have been very, very
boring indeed. We also find sometime at work from Ash to start
to show me how to use the tills at long last.
When I got home I just checked my email, before taken myself
off to bed. |
Thursday - 23th October 2003 |
Today Matthew and me went
to York for the day. It was really a great day. The only bad
thing about it was the train journey back home, but more on that
later. My day started at 8:30am with me getting up and making
myself look all nice for Matthew getting here at 9:15am. Once
Matthew got here we drove to Peterborough to get the 10:19am GNER train.
When got we into Peterborough we tired to park in the GNER train
station car park, but the whole thing was full, including the
overflow car park. So we had to park in the one of the Queensgate
Shopping Centre's car park's. The only bad thing was that
car park closes at 9:00pm. But we had lots of time to get back
before that. Well in till things go wrong, more on that soon.
Once we got parked we walked to the train station. Then had
to wait about 10 minutes for the train, because we got to the
station in a good time. We got on the train at 10:19am, meaning
that it was right on time. Well it would with it being GNER.
Once
we got to York, we walked about for a while,
looking at things to do. While we were doing that is started
to rain. So we went to the Jorvik
Viking Centre. It was very good indeed, I had not been in
years. I last went when I went with my Mum and Dad, when I was
still at Balfron
High School.
Lucky once we got out of the Jorvik
Viking Centre the rain had stopped and the sun had come
out again. We then went to Clifford's
Tower. Which was once the central stronghold of York Castle.
Then we went to the York
Minster and clumped it's tower. We could not have picked
a better day for it, when we got to the top of it we could
see for miles and miles. We were also the only two people at
the top of it.
Then
we went to Pizza
Hut to get some food. The food and service was great as always.
Then we had a quick look around some shops. We found a very big
O'Neill shop. Well it was bigger then the ones that I have been
to in Glasgow and London. We also went to HMV,
I got myself a copy of Spider-Man on DVD, well it was only £9.99
for a double DVD so I was not going to say no .
Then we went to the National
Railway Museum. One of the best things about it, was it
was free and with being from Scotland I love that word. lol.
I had not been there again, since the last time I as down in
York with my Mum and Dad, back then you had to pay to get in.
It was really great to have a look about it again. I love looking
at trains, so I was in heaven. So only bad thing about it,
was that it closed at 6:00pm. It's the sort of place you could
easy spend all day there.
Then we went back in York City centre to have a look around
some more shops, well the ones that were open anyway. We went
back into HMV were
I ended up getting "The Others" it's a great film and
I have only ever seen it once. And with it being another double
DVD and it was only £7.99, I had to get it.
Then we walked to the train station to the the 7:10pm GNER train
back down to Peterborough. The journey was going very well till
the train got to near to Newark. Then the train just stopped,
then about 10 minutes later we were told that a good trains had
broken down. So we had to wait till they moved it. So by the
time they sorted it out, we were over 1 hour late getting into
Peterborough. Which would have not had been so bad, but Matthew's
car was still parked in Queensgate
Shopping Centre's car park and that was getting locked at
9:00pm. There was not way we were going to get there in time.
So Matthew had to phone up his Dad and get him to move the
car, out of the car park. Which lucky he did, or we would
have had no way of getting back home.
Other then the train journey back home. We both had a great
day out. I am sure that we will both go there again. |
Thursday - 30th October 2003 |
In the morning I had a driving
lesson from 11:00am to 1:00pm. I think that it went very well.
It been the best that it has been in a while. I only stalled
once, when once that I can remember. There are still some things
that I need to really work on, but I am getting there and should
be fully ready for my test soon.
Then in the afternoon Matthew come around, right in the middle
of Neighbours,
would you believe. Once we had watched the rest of Neighbours we
walked the dog. Then just watched television and both played
about on the net. Mainly because it’s getting too cold,
too do anything else.
Then in the evening Mark, Matthew and of course me went to the
local to get some food. |
Friday - 31st October 2003 |
I was so happy when I woke
up I put "The Hits" on a music channel on Freeview.
I could not believe my eyes, they have a all new play list. All
this weekend there showing classic music videos, like Yellow
(Coldplay), Babylon (David Gray), I Will Survive (Gloria Gaynor),
Everybody Hurts (R.E.M) and the list goes on like that. I just
hope that do things like this more often on The Hits, if they
do I will watch it one hell of a lot more.
The once I got out of bed had a shower etc. I booked my driving
test on-line using the Driving
Standards Agency website, but I am not going to say when
it is. You will all have to wait and find out. All that I am
going to tell you it that it cost £39, so I really hope
that I pass it first time.
Then in the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. It was a very quiet indeed for a Friday
night. Even I ended up wine waiting, because just for something
to do. I was very glad to when work was over for the night.
It was the most boring night that I have had there in a long
time.
Once I got home I checked my email, before going to bed. |
Saturday - 1st November 2003 |
Oh my god, where has all this
year gone too. I can't believe it's November already. Because
I know it, it's going to be Christmas. So I really should start
saving up soon. At least it's not going to cost me so much this
year, with being single.
I did not get up till after 11:00am. When I got up a had a nice
and hot shower. Then I started the first stage of getting the
photos of me sorted out. I sorted them out by year and made new
folders for them. I am hoping to get the second stage done later
this week. Which will be making a new page of each year. Other
then that I just watched some R.E.M music DVD's that I have had
for a long time.
Then in the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. I got there about 5:15pm, which is early
I should get at 6:00pm. We some of us had to get there to sort
out the new menus. And also with getting not far off other
hours pay, I was not really going to say no. Lucky tonight
was not empty like it was last night. Tonight we had a full
house. So I did not have the time to get bored, like I did
last night. One thing at work did really up-set me tonight,
but I can't really speak about it.
Then after work some of us went out to get Pizza, which was
nice. It could have been better. I something had not up-set me
at work, oh well these things happens.
When I got home I checked my email, then it was to bed. |
Tuesday - 4th November 2003 |
I did not get up till about
11:00am. I had one of the best nights sleeps that I have not
in a long time. I don't really know why, but has the last week
I have not really been sleeping well at all.
When I got up I had a shower, then I spend about 1 hour or so
cleaning the house. Then I did some stuff in the back garden.
Then I walked Pebbles to Jimmy's Stile.
Once I got back from walked the dog. I cooked my food for lunch,
which I timed so it would just be really for me to eat, when
I was watching Neighbours.
Then I started the long job of adding a photo search engine,
to make it easier to find photos.
Then I went out of the first cycle of the month. I had not been
out since the start of October. Mainly because I had the flu
and also because the weather has not been very good. I only did
8.6 miles, not a long, but better then nothing at all.
Then in the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. It was so boring you would not believe.
It was so boring mainly, because people were not really drinking
much and also there was a lot of wine waiters in. So I could
not even really take drinks down.
Once I got back from work I watched Holby
City and it was off to bed. |
Friday - 7th November 2003 |
I did not up out of bed till
about 10:30am. When I got up a had a nice long hot shower, because
putting a washing on, to make that I have clean stuff to wear
to work in evening.
Then I played about on the Internet for a while, before getting
my room a big clean. Then I walked Pebbles, I did not walk her
as far as normal, because I wanted to get back in time to watch Neighbours.
They have some really great story lines, they were go great today,
I even started to cry.
Then I got the stuff out the washing machine and put it in the
dryer. Then I put my bed cover's in the washing machine. So that
I would have nice and clean covers for sleeping tonight.
In the evening I was working as normal at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. I did not get into work till about 7:00pm,
when I should start at 7:00pm. Yes I am a very bad boy indeed.
Work was not 2 bad at all. And at long last we have made up
our minds what we are going to wear for Children
In Need. We're going to dress up as school boys and girls.
Which should be really great fun. I will just need to get the
stuff sorted out that I am going to wear. |
Saturday - 8th November 2003 |
Today I got my GNER train
tickets booked for going home for Christmas. I am going up on
Monday 22nd December and coming back on Tuesday 6th January 2003.
In most ways I am really looking forward to going up again. But
in some ways I am not, because it will bring back memory's of
last year when David and me went up last year. oh well. Who knows
I may have another boyfriend by then! Any offers? lol
In the evening I was working at the dog track. It was a big
of bad night for me, for reasons that I will not be into. I was
just very glad to get back home and get to bed. |
Sunday - 9th November 2003 |
Mark and me had the hot water
tank in bits today, because it has stoped working again. Last
time we just played about with the wires going into and got it
working. But this time that did not work, but lucky Mark had
the bits in the house to fix it. So we now have nice hot water
again. Thank god. I could not cope with just having cold water.
I like my hot showers and being clean way to much for that.
In the evening Mark and me went to The
Willoughby Arms to get food. |
Monday - 10th November 2003 |
I got up at about 11:00am,
then had a nice long shower. It's so nice to have hot water again,
after it not working for most of Sunday. Then I give some of
the house a quick clean, because my driving lesson at 11:30am.
My driving lesson went OK today. I was driving around Stamford,
which is OK, but it's a lot busier then the place that I will
be doing my driving test. I really can't stand reverse parking.
It's one thing that I really just can't get right. I just hope
that I start to get use to doing them soon. Well at least I still
have a while, before my driving test to get it right.
When I got back from my driving lesson I cooked myself some
lunch. Then I spend the rest of the day doing work to my Killearn
on the Web site. I started to add lots of new photos to it,
that I have been meaning to add, since the last time I was up
in Scotland, which was back in September. It will take me a while
to get it fully sorted out. Because I have at least 200 Mb of
photos to sort out first.
So that was my fun filled day. LOL. At least people who use
my Killearn website
will be happy again. |
Tuesday - 11th November 2003 |
Yes I am so sad, for the second
day in a row, I spend most of the day sorting out more of my Killearn
on the Web site. I spend a good number of hours sorting out
the rest of the Killearn photos on my laptop, to make them easier
for me to find. Then I started to long job of sorting out the
ones that I wanted to add to the website, then re-sizing them
etc, before uploading them. If you have never looking at my Killearn
website before, then I would recommend that you do. It's
got some of the best photos, that I have ever taken on it.
Then in the evening I watched Holby
City on BBC1. I was a really great episode, if you missed
it, I feel really sorry of you it was one of the best episodes
in a one time. At long least we know who the killer is. See
Matthew, I am always right. I told you it was her. hehehehe.
Then I did some more work, yes more work to my Killearn
website before going to bed. But before I went to sleep
I just had to watch Bob and Margaret on FTN.
If you're never seen it before, then you don't know what your
missing. |
Saturday - 15th November 2003 |
In the morning I had a nice
long lie in. I needed it after last night at work. The whole
of the restaurant was full and believe me it holds one hell of
a long of people when full, just over 400 I think. But I would
need to double check that number. We sold 60 (over £580)
bottles of wine, which I think is the most ever, well the most
since I started to work there. Which means a hell of a lot of
running about for me, because I am the one who looks after that
side of things.
So I needed the nice long lie in. When I got up a had a nice
long shower. Then looked at the Digital
Spy website, to what is going on in the world of Freeview.
To find out that Teletext has started to test there new digital
text service for Channel
4 called "Teletext on 4" on Freeview channel
50. But to have a look at, you needed a special code, which lucky
for me someone had very nicely put on the Digital
Spy website. The new "Teletext on 4" service is
very good indeed. It's far better then the BBCi text service
in a lot of way. I can't wait it till goes fully live to get
to play about with all of it.
Once I got bored playing about with "Teletext on 4".
I went a nice walk with Pebbles to Jimmy's Stile and back again,
which is a nice 1/2 hour. Then I had food and got myself ready
for work.
Lucky work was not has bad as last. We did still sell as much
wine, has the other night, but we still sold 51 bottles, coming
to over £480. The only really bad thing about work, was
that I did not get done till after 11:45pm. At least I get extra
money, which of course is always good.
Then after work some of us went out for a Pizza, which was very
nice indeed. I really needed it to wind down after work. |
Monday - 17th November 2003 |
In the morning at 9:30am.
I had an one and half hour driving lesson with the very nice
Phil from the AA. Today I was driving around Bourne, which I
like a lot more then Stamford, because the roads are not so busy
and they are not had many people who like to walk in right of
you. I did lots of reserving around corners, which most times
I do OK. And also lots more reverse parking, which I am starting
to get better at all. But still needs a lot more work done, before
I do my driving test.
In the afternoon I did not really do much, other then watch
TV and surf the net. I was hoping to walk the dog, but it started
to piss it down. And me and Pebbles, don't really like getting
wet.
Then in the evening I was speaking to the very sexy Paul from
King's Lynn. On both MSN, with netmeeting running so we could
wave at each other. But at about 12:00am, I made up my mind to
phone him, so that I could get to hear what he sounds like. We
were on the phone to each other, till very late in the morning.
You may be hearing a lot more about Paul in the coming weeks,
if everything goes well. We should both be meeting up in Peterborough
this Thursday, all being well . |
Tuesday - 18th November 2003 |
I did not get up till about
11:00am. When I got up a had a shower, sorted out the fire. Give
the house a quick clean. With all the cleaning that I do, anyone
would think that I am a cleaner.
I very was very happy indeed, when the posted came. Because
the two CDs that I ordered from play.com last
week sometime turned up. The two CDs were Coldplay -
Live 2003, a double CD collection, with disk one being a DVD
and disc two being am audio CD. The second CD being In Time:
Best Of R.E.M. 1988-2003, again a another double CD.
Then in the afternoon Mark and me went into Stamford town centre
to put some money in the Bank and also to post stuff at the post
office.
When we got back. I had something to eat, before getting ready
to go dog track were I work, lucky it mostly went well. The only
bad thing that was the wine list was wrong. Ahhhhhhh. Which is
not a good thing, at all. Lucky it was only out by one bottles.
When I got back from work, I wached some TV and checked my email,
before going to bed. |
Friday - 21st November 2003 |
I did not get up till about
12:00pm. Once out of bed I had a had a shower, then put a colours
wash in the washing machine. Then I played about the net while
I was waiting for the washing machine to finish, so that I could
put in the drying then, put my whites in the washing machine.
When I got the post I was happy because I got a letter from
GNER saying sorry about the delays that Matthew and me had on
the way back from York. I got a £5 rail travel voucher
that can be used with any train operating company in the UK.
In the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. It was a fun night, because we all had
to wear school uniform. Which was even more fun for me, because
I have always had a thing about guys in school uniform .
Better still one or two of them had shorts on, so I got to
see there legs. So it was not too bad of an evening at all. |
Monday - 24th November 2003 |
In the morning at 10:30am
I had a driving lesson. It went very well today, all in till,
the last couple of minutes. But I will get on to that bit later.
In the first bit of my driving lesson I drive into Stamford,
which I have done many times before. Then I had to drive into
the Morrisons car
park, were I had to reverse park and for once I did it first
time . Then I drove out of the car park onto the A16 then starting
heading towards Market Deeping, meaning that I got to drive over
the East Coast main line at Tallington. Then I stayed on the
A16 all the way to Spalding then back via the A151 and into Borne.
Then onto the A6121 and back home.
Now
on to the bad bit of my driving lesson. There is a bridge very
near to my house then goes under the East Coast mainline. Just
has I started to go around the corner and truck come around just
a bit to fast. And I come very, very close to going into the
side of it. If it had not been for my driving instructor, I have
a feeling I would have not been so lucky. Because he thank god,
put is foot hard down on the break. So I will know not to go
around the corner so fast in the future.
In the afternoon I added more photos to
this website. Watched some TV and then did some stuff to The
Bythams website, which took some while, because I messing
up the first time. So I had to fix it, then upload all the pages
again. I then updated my Killearn
website, I added a page about Freeview to it. To give the
people in Killearn the
good news, that they can get some Freeview channels.
Then in the evening I just watched some more TV and played about
on the net. I also phoned my Dad to see how things are and also
to thank him for the money to pay for my train tickets for going
up to Scotland for the New Year. |
Thursday - 27th November 2003 |
In the afternoon Mark and
me went into Stamford. So that we could pay money into the Bank
and so that I could get my hair cut. It's looks far better now,
it's does not get in my eyes anymore. And of course I feel a
lot better and it does not get int my eyes anymore. Then we went
to Morrisons to
get food.
Then in the evening I watched Holby
City that I recorded on Tuesday. I can't wait till next
Tuesday, to see of the Police work out who the killer is. |
Friday - 28th November 2003 |
First of all I would like
to remind everyone that Monday 1st December is World Aids day.
So please make sure that you wear the Red Ribbon. To find out
if their are any events taken place near to you, please check
out www.worldaidsday.org.
Oh my god just how gay is "The Hits" music channel
this weekend? Hey just played Y.M.C.A by Village People, then
want str8 on to play Don't You Want Me Baby by Human League and
the onto Dancing Queen by Abba. |
Monday - 1st December 2003
World AIDS Day |
In the morning at 9:30am,
I had a driving lesson for 1 and half hours. It's the first time
that I have had to do a whole driving lesson in the rain. I am
normally lucky and it stops after a while. But it did not stop
once. Oh while I do really need to get use to driving in the
rain, in this time for the year it does like to rain a lot. My
driving lesson went better then late week, mainly because I did
not have any near misses.
In the afternoon I watched some TV and did a lot of work to
my Wetsuitlads
website. I sorted it fully sort getting really for added
a new model, which all going well we happen this Friday. So keep
watching this space.
Once Mark got back from work we both went in to Grantham to
pick up a hire van that he needs for going down to London to
do a training course. Then we went to Asda to
get some food.
Once I got back from Grantham I cooked myself some food. Then
just watched some more TV and did more stuff to my Wetsuitlads
website. |
Tuesday - 2rd December 2003 |
I am so happy because at long
last I can watch Freeview (digital
terrestrial TV Digital TV). Because I had a company from the local
town of Bourne called Bourne Hi-Tech Services. Come around and
install a new TV aerial, it may have cost me just over £120.
But I think that it was money very spend. The signal quality is
now 9 on every channel. Before I was lucky if I got 5 on a lot
of them. So now the picture never breaks up at all. |
Saturday - 6th December 2003 |
I got out of bed at about
11:00am. Had a nice long hot shower. Then I did some more work
to Wetsuitlads.
I added e-cards of Daniel, he's a new model on the website.
Then Mark, Ben and me went into Stamford. First we called in
at FOCUS a
DIY shop to get a new light bulb for the back security light,
which died last week sometime. Then we went into Stamford so
Mark could post some stuff. Then we went to Morrisons so
what I could get some food.
So when I got back from Morrisons I
got the ladders out and put the new bulb in. It should make Pebbles
a lot happier, because she can see what she is doing again in
the back garden.
Then in the evening from 5:00pm to 11:45pm, I was working at
the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. It was a bit of a hell of a night, mainly
just because some staff were somewhat pissing me off. But other
then that it was not too bad of a night at all. But I was really
glad indeed to get back home and get to bed. |
Sunday - 7th December 2003 |
I did not get up till about
12:30pm. I really need the long lie in, because it was a long
night at work. I am also still catching up with sleep from Thursday
night.
When I did get out of bed in the end. I cleaned my room, because
going a walk with Mark and of course Pebbles to Jimmy's Stile
and back. We were going to go for a longer walk, but we both
made up out minds that it was just a bit too cold.
Once we got back from our walk. I did more work to my Wetsuitlads
site. On Saturday it had it's most hits, since it went
on-line at the end of April. Just over 230 people looked at
it in one day.
Then in the evening Mark and me went to the Castle Inn, in Castle
Bytham to get food. I have gone off our local pub big time,
it's not the place that it use to be. I can't really see myself
wanting to go there much more.
Once I got back from getting food. I watched Casualty that
I had recorded on Saturday night. It was very good indeed. But
then it always is . Then it was off to bed. |
Monday - 8th December 2003 |
In the morning when the post
come, I got my first xmas card of the year. It was from my ex's
David's Mum and Dad of all people. So I would like to say a big
thank to both of them for getting me one. I really need to get
them one now.
I spend a good number of hours today. Doing painting, I can't
remember the last time that I did any. I was painting the wall's
of the cabloked to make them white. So that all going well Mark
and me get it fully sorted this weekend.
In the afternoon Matthew and me went into Stamford for a while.
For something different to do. It was nice to see him again and
do a bit of chatting up. I can't remember the last time that
I seen him.
Then in the evening I just played about on the net and watched
some TV, before going to bed. |
Tuesday - 9th December
2003 |
At long last the Busted CD
that I ordered from play.com turned
up. I was starting to think that it had got lost in the post
or something. But saying that it does say on there website give
14 days for delivery. Just before when I had used them at it
only taken about 4 days. But I have it now, so that's the main
thing.
I had a driving at 1:30pm. It should have been at 1:00pm, but
my driving instructor Phil was just a bit late, but he did phone
me to let me know. It's not like I ha anything planned. lol.
It went OK today, for for some reason, I was not having that
much luck with the gears. But other then that it was not 2 bad
at all.
In the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. It was a bit of a crap night, mainly
because some of the wine waiters, were not doing that job that
well. A lot of people just think they are there to chat and
not to work. So I told the bar supervisor he better have a
word with them about it, or I should. And I would not be so
nice about it.
I was go happy to get back home. The sooner xmas is out of the
way the better. Then we can say goodbye to most of the crap staff . |
Thursday - 11th December 2003 |
I did not waken up till about
12:30pm. I don't know what is up with me, even with two alarm
clock's going off. But then working from 6:00pm to 11:00pm at
night does not help, because I am lucky if I am in bed by 2:00am.
But I do really need to find a way of cutting down my sleep.
Having so much of it, is not doing me any good at all.
When I got out of bed. I had a nice hot shower, then sorted
out the fire to stop it from going out. The last thing I needed
was a cold house. Then I made myself some food before watching Neighbours.
Then I went a quick walk with the dog. I did not go that far,
because it has been raining the it was just a bit muddy.
When I got back I did more updates too the two Dell computer's
that I starting to reinstall on yesterday.
Then in the evening I watched Holby
City that I recorded on Tuesday. If you have not been watching
it, then you really don't know what you have been missing.
Then Mark and me went to the Castle Inn in the next village
to get food.
Then I chatted to some friends on the Internet for a while before
going to bed at about 2:00am. |
Monday - 15th December 2003 |
In the morning I had a two
hour driving lesson. I went not too bad and for once I reversed
parked first time. I did not try to do it again, because I had
fucked the second time, I would have not been happy at all.
In the afternoon at long last my train tickets for going out
to Scotland have turned up. I ordered them on-line with the GNER website
well over a month ago. I was starting to think that I am ever
going to get them.
Then I played about on the Internet for a while, before Mark
and me went a walk around Morkery Wood with the dog. We only
went a short walk, because it was very cold and it was starting
to get dark.
In the evening Mark, Matthew and me went to Frankie
and Bennys in Peterborough. The food was just fantastic,
but then it always is at Frankie
and Bennys. It was nice for us all to go out for a mean.
We should really do it more often when we have the money. |
Wednesday - 17th December 2003 |
I had my first driving lesson
in the dark. Lucky it was only for a hour long. I am sure my
lesson was booked at 3:30pm. But my driving instructor Phil.
Did not think it was till 4:15pm. He turned up in the end, that's
the main thing. It went OK, just has well has normal, because
I think because he's got a new car. So the gears are going to
take me bit to get use to again.
In the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. Beware I am about to use a word, that
I next to never use and that is shit. That is the best way
to say now work went. It was so bad, because so many things
went wrong you would not believe. The wine list went wrong,
big time. But lucky this time, at the end of the night we had
more bottles of wine that we should have. I also lost of the
key to get the white wine out. But lucky I found it, after
about 10 minutes of looking. Also work should finish at about
11:00pm ish, some times at 11:30pm. But I was still working
at 12:30am. At least the extra hour and half of pay will be
good.
I was so happy when I get home. After a night like that I can
start to see why so many people have drink when they get back
home from work. I just hope that Friday and Saturday night go
better. |
Sunday - 21st December 2003 |
I did not waken up till about
1:00pm. I really need that much sleep because I was working till
2:00am last night. Meaning that I did not get back home till
about 2:00am in morning.
When I did get out of bed in the end I had a nice long hot shower
to waken myself up. Then I watched Casualty that
I had recorded on Saturday night. Then I just played about on
the Internet for the rest of the day!
Then in the evening I got all my stuff packed for getting the
train up to Glasgow tomorrow morning. I just but that I have
packed everything, I always forget at least one thing. As long
as I have my laptop and some DVDs to watch on the train on the
way up. And also stuff to wear I will be OK. |
Monday - 22rd December 2003 |
I got up at about 8:30am.
I had a nice hot shower. Then I made sure that I had everything
packed for going up to Glasgow.
Made sure that I have my young persons rain card and train tickets.
Sam very nicely give me a left into Peterborough so that I could
get my train. I get to the train station with about one hour
to spare. Which made a very nice change, I normally just get
there in time and no more. And have to run like mad to get my
train!
The train left Peterborough more or less on time. It may have
been about 2 or 3 minutes late. But that is really nothing at
all. I was very happy indeed to get on to the nice and warm train
and get out of the cold.
I think that I packed a good train to use, when I booked the
trains. Because the train only stopped at York, Darlington, Newcastle
upon Tyne, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Edinburgh and then of course Glasgow.
It was a good journey, there was lots to look at. Just has we
were getting into York train station, there was snow on the ground.
Which did make me feel all Christmas like. It's the first time,
that I have had that feeling this year.
The train got into Glasgow Centre died on time. We I got there
my Mum and Dad were waiting for me. So I had to give my Mum a
kiss. Which I don't mind at all, it's the first time that I have
seen her since September, when I was up my Dad's and my big brother's
birthday.
When I got back to Killearn my
Dad showing my all the things that he has been doing around about
the house. Then I had a nice chat about thing with my Mum and
Dad. Before going to Tesco in
Milnagavie, with them to get some food.
Then when I got back to Killearn again.
I just watched some TV, before going to bed. It has been a very
tired day indeed, but also a great one too. |
Tuesday - 23th December 2003 |
I got up at about 10:30am,
had a quick shower. Then my Mum very nicely give, Craig, Douglas
and me a give into Crow Road, Partick, Glasgow. So that we could
get the Underground from Partick to Glasgow,
Buchanan Street. Douglas and me then said goodbye because he
was going into Glasgow to
get the bus to Dundee to spend Christmas with his girlfriend.
Then Douglas and me spend hours going around, doing all our
Christmas shopping. He had already done a lot of it. I had to
still start doing my Christmas shopping. I things of everybody,
other then my wee brother Craig, because I have no idea what
he would like at all.
At about 3:30pm, we give our Dad a phone, we then picked up
both up at about 4:00pm, once he had done at home and give use
both a lift back home! So thanks very much indeed Dad, your the
best!!!
In the evening I spend a good number of hours removed all the
files from my old Novell Netware
4.1 server, is that it could get out. Then once we are fully
sorted out we will put a nice new Windows 2000 Pro server, machine
in it's place.
Then I watched some more of "The Office" on my wee
bother Craig's nice big Sony Trinitron television. The students
of today, they have way to much money for there own good. I only
have a small 14" television, in my room, down in England.
Then it was off to bed, for a good nights sleep. I don't know
why, but I always find that I sleep a lot better, when I am up
in Scotland. |
Wednesday - 24th December 2003 |
I got up at about 11:30am.
Had a quick shower and made myself look all nice. Then Mum, Dad
and me went into Alexandria so that, they could sort some more
stuff out for my Christmas.
When we I got back to Killearn.
I just watched some more of "The Office". Why oh, why
is there nothing ever good on television at Christmas time? If
anyone does know, then please contact
me.
Then in the evening I used the Internet most most of the night.
And one of my friends from Glasgow phoned
me, he was one the phone for at least one hour, but it was a
very good chat indeed.
I did not get to bed till about 3:00am. All because of what
Matthew very nicely got me for Christmas. He got me "The
Chronicles of Narnia" the Connection's Edition on DVD. When
I started watching it, I could not stop. So I was up till about
3:00am, watching the first DVD. I had not seen it since it was
first Broadcast on the BBC all
the why back in 1988. God that does make me feel really old indeed.
Then it was off to bed. |
Saturday - 27th December 2003 |
Message of thanks!! -
I would love to say a big thank-you to everyone who has looked
at this website since July 2003 and given it over 10,000 hits. |
I got up at about 12:00pm.
Then I went on-line for a while and who was on-line but Jamie,
a friend that I have known since primary school. So we sorted
out meeting up in Glasgow.
I got the 1:52pm bus from Killearn,
to idea had been at first for me to get the bus the whole way
into Glasgow, but Jamie phoned me just as the bus was getting
into Milngavie and told me to get off the bus there. Because
to save time, he had driven for his house to Milngavie. We drive
me into Glasgow where we, were hoping to get parked get have
a look around Glasgow. But the first was just mad, every car
park in Glasgow was full and there was very quetes to get into
all up them, so after sitting in the car and getting no where
fast. We give up in the end and drive onto the M8 then heading
to the Braehead
shopping centre.
When we got there it was still very busy indeed, but lucky we
had no problems at all getting a car parking space. We did not
spend that much time at all looking around the shops, mainly
because it was way to busy for both of our liking. But the open
shop that I did go into, I got myself a very nice jacket full
price, it would have been £69.99, but it the sale it was £54.99,
so I just had to get myself it.
Once we had done the the Braehead
shopping centre, we then drove over to the Braehead
Retail Park, but could have just walked, but Jamie does
not like walking. But looking back on it, we both wish that
we had just walked over. The car park, so mad and people were
packing here, there and everywhere. We did find a space in
the end, so that was the main thing. We then just had a quick
look in PC
World etc.
Then Jamie drove back down the M8 into Glasgow City Centre and
very nicely dropped me off. |
Sunday - 28th December 2003 |
Scott phoned me at about 11:00am
to find out what I am doing and if I would like to meet up. I
was not doing anything and I also think that Scott is a great
guy, so of course I was not going to say no! I asked him if he
would like to go for a nice walk. He said that was a great idea.
So after a bit of a chat we worked out that us both meeting up
in Milngavie would be best.
So I got out of bed, then had a shower. Had some food, then
asked my Dad very nicely, if he would give me a lift into Milngavie.
Which he very nicely said of course he would do.
I got into Milngavie at just after 1:30pm. I then meet up with
him at Milngavie train statrion. I asked if he would like to
walk along the West
Highland Way from Milngavie to Killearn.
He said it was a great idea.
So off we went, I don't think that we could have really picked
a better day for it! The walk was about 9 miles in total. I really
enjoyed it. I think that next year, I really could do with doing
a lot more walking.
The walk took about 2 & half hours. I would love to walk
the whole West
Highland Way, but you need at about 7 days to do it. The
whole walk from start to end is 95 miles.
Once we got to my my in Killearn we
looked at the photos that we had taken while doing the walk.
Most of them come out very well indeed. Then my Mum and Dad very
nicely give us a lift back to Milngavie, so that he could get
to train back home.
Then Mum, Dad and me did food shopping at Tesco.
Once I got back home, I watched some TV and spoke to some people
on the Internet. And also this really fit guy from Austria, that
I have not spoken to in about 2 years. |
Tuesday - 29th December 2003 |
All that I really did today
was spend a while up in the loft sorting out network cables.
First of all I removed 30 metes of old CAT-5 network cable that
we have no used for years. But we had just ever got around to
removing. Then I sorted out some of the TV aerial cables up in
loft.
Other then that I did not really do a lot, other then listen
to music and watch TV. Having only four TV channel's in Killearn,
is starting to do my head in. Because I am so use to watching
music channel's and 24 hour news channel's all the time with Freeview,
when I am in England. I hope that one day Killearn get's Freeview,
but god only knows when that's going to be. At least it's going
to get broadband Internet soon, so it will be a start. |
