First
of all that I have not really been doing much to this website,
for a while. It's because this website has had to take a bit
of back seat while I sorted out some of my other website's, that
not been updated in a long time.
I woke up at about 11:00am, I would have been asleep for a
lot longer if it had not been for my mobile going off to remind
me that it's London
Pride tomorrow. I got my of bed, went to the loo, then
got straight back into bed. Because I felt like watching TV
while in bed. I watched Holby
City that I recorded Tuesday night.
At about 12:30pm I got up of bed for a second time, but this
time I was good and stayed out of bed. I checked my email quickly
before jumping in the shower.
Once got the shower I cooked myself a pizza. I eat it while
watching Yes, Minster. Once I had eaten all my food. I went
out a nice walk with the dog. It was a lot warmer that it looked
outside, so I did most of the walk without my top on, lucky
not too many people were about to see it.
Once back I just watched more stuff on TV and played about
on the net.
In the evening I phoned up my Mum and Dad to see how things
are going up in Killearn.
I was on the phone to them for about 15 minutes. They were
telling me all about the flat in Glasgow,
that my big brother Douglas is moving to. I also got to speak
to my BF for
the first time, for a number of days, because he's been in
Coventry seeing friends. It was great to get to speak to my
love again. While speaking to him, we sorted out train times
for him coming over for the weekend.
I also spoke to Matthew on the phone to sort out, us going
to Pride on
Saturday in London. My boyfriend
Rob, Matthew and me are all going down. It should be great
fun, it will be my boyfriends first ever Pride and Mathew's
first big one.
I said good-night to my Rob at
about 12:30am, because going to bed. |
Saturday - 3rd July 2004 |
Rob,
Matthew and me went to London
Pride, we all had a great time.
More on this soon indeed. I
still have to write it up, check out my boyfriends version
of the day, on his website at http://punkafish.tripod.com. |
Monday - 5th July 2004 |
My boyfriend Rob and
me got up at 8:30am. We both had showers, then got both of us
ready for Matthew coming around. As we had all arranged to go
to Alton
Towers for the day. Matthew, being himself, was late. He
said he would be here between 9:00am and 9:30am. But he did not
get to my place till about 10:00am, but at least he phoned to
say that he would be late. I guess it was his female friend's
fault, who also come with us. I feel so bad as I don't even remember
her name. I never have been good with names.
We all set off from my place in Little
Bytham at about 10:30am. Matthew very nicely drove us all
their. It took us about 1 hour and 1/2 hours to get there,
which is not too bad at all, because the journey was about
70 miles in total.
So we got there for about 11:30am. We parked the car in car
park G, just in case you wanted to know. We then got the monorail
to the entrance, you could walk to the entrance, but it would
have taken a while and no point really since the monorail is
free and it gets you there nice and fast.
Once at the entrance we all had to pay £27, to get in.
Other then Rob who
had to only pay £12.50. I should have also got in for that,
because I was his "helper", but the girl behind the
desk, did not listen to me. Oh well, I don't mind. It's only
money after all .
Once in we headed straight to the Black Hole, because it's a
good warm up ride, to get you in the mood for going on all the
bigger scarier ones. I had been on it before, but not since the
last time I went to Alton
Towers, which was a long time ago. I really like the Black
Hole. It's really fun, because most of it's in the dark, so you
have no idea what will be coming next on it.
Once
off the Black Hole, we joined the next queue. This time for the
Oblivion. I love the Oblivion, it's a great ride. We all sat
in the front row, which is the best place to be on if you ask
me! For those who don't know what it is. I will just tell you
now. When it opened, it was the world's first vertical drop roller
coaster. It's reaches speeds of 110km per hour and reaches 4.5
G's.
Then we went to Pizza
Hut to get food. The food was great, but then it always
is from Pizza Hut. We, me and Rob,
both that a Margherita pizza and to drink we both had a Pepsi.
Once we all had eaten our food, which filled a big hole. We
then headed to the Nemesis, which I still think is one of the
best rides at Alton
Towers. I love the way we go upside down and all over the
place on it.
We then headed to the River Rapid, at first we were going to
go on Air. But the queue was way to long for it. It was saying
over 100 minutes. So if we had waited, we would not have got
to go on anything else. So we headed to River Rapid. I had never
been on it, before. I really liked it, even with getting very,
very wet on it! I think it was Matthew who got the wettest on
it. The look on his face was so funny .
Then from the River Rapid, we then more or less ran to the Air
ride, to get in the queue before they stopped letting people
join it. We got there just in time. We were some of the last
lot to get in the queue. We had to wait in the queue for about
1 hour max, I would say. Which was not 2 bad at all, because
the sign said the wait was about 100 minutes. The ride was very
good indeed. If was my first time being on it. If you have never
been on it, before I would recommend it.
Once off the ride, it was time to go home, because it was after
6:00pm and the park had closed. We all had a great day out. I
would like to say, a big, big thank-you to Matthew and his friend
for asking us to both go. I can see myself going again, in the
very near future.
Rob and me got
back home at about 8:00pm. Once back home, we had something to
eat, which watching Neighbours.
Just then spend the rest of the evening on the net and telling
each other now much we love each other . |
Tuesday - 6th July 2004 |
Rob and
me got up at about 10:30am. We then both had showers. Then we
played about on the Internet for a while, before taken the dog
out for a nice long walk.
Once back from walking the dog. Rob and
me got ready form going out a cycle. We went to the place were
I take most of the wetsuit photos. While there we took photos
of each other wearing sexy cycling suits. We kept on taken photos
still the camera memory card was full. Then we back cycled back
home.
Once back home. I turned the oven on. While it was heating up
Rob and me looked at the photos that we had taken. Once the oven
was ready I put two Pizza's in for Rob and
me. While they were both cooking, I started to get my bad picked
for cycling into work. Once the food was ready, eat it while
watching Neighbours.
Then I got on my bike and cycled all the way to work. I was
a bit late in leaving the house. I did not get on my bike till
about 4:25pm. I would have got to work on time, if it had been
for the fact that I had to wait for about 10 minutes at the rail
crossing on the road between Uffington and Barnack. I have been
over the crossing many times and never had to wait for any train
to go past. I had to wait for three trains. One Central
Train and two EWS
trains.
Once I got to work at about 6:10pm. I did all the normal setting
up. Lucky I did not have much to do, because only about 20 tables
were in use. It was a bit of a boring nite, because most people
had just one drink that lasted them all night. The only people
that were drinking at lot, were some people on the bottom row.
I was glad when the night was over and I put my bike in the
back of Mark's car, then drove back home. Where my sexy boyfriend Rob was
waiting for me. |
Sunday - 11th July 2004 |
Rob and
me woke up at about 12:00pm. Then we both had showers then we
both played about on the Internet for a while, before going out
a walk with the dog. Pebbles was so happy to be taken a walk,
she had not been out a good walk, for a while because the weather
has not been great for the past number of days.
Once back I did some housework while Rob played
about on the Internet for a while. Then I cooked Rob and
me some lunch. We had a half a Pizza each.
Once we had eaten our Pizza lunch. I took Rob to
the train station in Stamford. So he could get the train back
home. Of course I did not really want him to go back home, but
he does have to go home once in a while.
Once I got back home, I gave the inside of Mark's car a good
clean out. Then I just played about on the net and watched stuff
on TV.
In evening Mark and me went to the Castle Inn, in the next village
of Castle
Bytham for something to eat, it's the first for a while that
we have both been there. The food was great as always.
Once back from the pub I spoke to my bf Rob on-line
and played about on the Internet for a while.
Then I went to bed and watched Holby
City that I recorded last Tuesday, but had only just got
around to watching it. Then I watched a program called "Ultimates" that
I had recorded off of the Discovery
channel earlier in the evening. Tonight's one was all about
Ultimate Thrill Rides. It was, very, very good indeed. Three
of the rides showing on the program, I had been on and there
were all at Alton
Towers. The rides were Enterprise, Oblivion and Air. The
only bad thing about the program was that it did not have subtitles
on it. Because I think that Rob would
have really liked it.
By the time I had watched both Holby
City and Ultimates it was about 2:00am. So I turned off
my computers and went to bed. |
Thursday - 15th July 2004 |
I got up at about 11:00am.
I then downloaded all my crap emails. I do really need to find
a good free SPAM checker. Then I started to go though all the
job emails on my computer that have been building up. Then I
went onto the job search website's that I know of. I only found
two jobs, that both looked good. So I send my two off to both
of them. I doubt I will hear anything from them. It's a start,
in the next day or two I will really need to update my CV, it's
out of date to say the least.
When the post turned up, I was happy because the "Scissor
Sisters" album that I had ordered from Play.com on
Monday turned up. So I spend a good while listening to it.
It's very good indeed. Knowing me, I will now have it on, till
I am fed up with it, because I have listened to it, too much.
Then I watched Neighbours on BBC1.
It was so good today. I really can't wait to Friday to see what
happens next. If you have not been watching it, then you really
don't know what your missing.
Then after Neighbours I
had a shower, yes very bad I know. Not having one will about
2:15pm. Oh well your only young once. Then after the shower,
I just spend the rest of the afternoon playing about on the Internet.
Then at about 6:00pm. I went out a walk with the dog. It had
not rained all the day, but the second I went out with the dog
it started. I was not very happy at all.
Once back I did some DIY, I put my Hi-Fi's front speakers up
on the wall. Because I don't like having them on the floor.
Then I phoned up my Mum and Dad to see, if they got there ADSL
(broadband) set-up today. Which they did, going by what my Dad
says, he really likes it and so does my Mum, because she has
now got the phone line back. I also like it, because I know that
I get though to my Mum and Dad a lot easier now, when I phone
home.
Then I spend most of the rest of the evening, speaking to my Rob on-line. |
Thursday - 22nd July 2004 |
Rob
and me both got up at about 10:30am. Then we both had showers.
Once we had both done in the bath room. We then both went on-line
to check our email and also to see what the BBC
Weather website said the weather had in store for us today.
It said it was going to be mainly dry and sunny, with thundery
showers later on in the day.
After we had both had some lunch, I came up with the idea of
putting our bikes in the back of the car then driving to Rutland
Water for a cycle. Rob said
yes it was a good idea. I don't think at the time, he had worked
out that we were going to cycle the whole way around. Once we
got to the Whitwell Car Park, I paid the £2 parking for
the day. Then we got our bike out of the car. Then off we went.
The Rutland
Water cycle was new to both of us. I have been thinking
about doing it for a while. But had never got around to it.
And also did not really want to do it, all by myself. It really
was a great cycle, because most of it, is off road, it's also
very well sign posted the whole way aound to stop you from
getting lost.
We did the cycle in just over one and half hours. Which is not
too bad, because the cycle was just over 16 miles. It was the
longest cycle what Rob has
done in his whole life. So he did very, very well indeed. While
doing the cycle we stopped a number of times, mainly for Rob catch
his breath, after going up some big (well big for him) hills,
to me it was like a walk in the park. We also stopped a number
of times to take photos and of course kiss and tell each other
that we love each other.
So we hope had a great time at Rutland
Water. I think it was great way to spend our 5 month anniversary
together. Far better than seating inside all day and watching
TV.
Once back from Rutland
Water we both washed our bikes, because they were both
coved in mud. We then also both had showers to get the mud
off, of our self's. Then I cooked us both some dinner.
Then we spend the rest of evening just having fun, not going
to say what the fun was of course. And of course making the rest
of our five month anniversary special.
Oh and some other good news. I have got things sorted out with
my Mum and Dad after having a bit of a falling out with them
Sunday nite. |
Sunday - 1st August 2004 |
I got up at about 10:30am.
Then played about on the Internet for a while and downloaded
all my emails. Then I had a shower.
Once I have done in the shower. I sorted out the spreadsheet
that I use to keep a list of the people who have given donations
to my wetsuitlads
website. Then I spend a number of hours uploading photos
of Jon wearing a sexy cycling lycra skinsuit. I know it's called
wetsuitlads so it should only have wetsuits on it, but then I
think that cycling gear is sexy too, it's also nice and tight
two, which also helps.
Once I had sorted out my wetsuitlads
website. I went a cycle to Tallington. I did the cycle
in 1 hour 35 minutes. Which is not bad going for a 23 mile
cycle. When I got back I was very hot and sweaty. It was a
very, very hot day, I always find that I cycle a lot faster
when it's hot.
Once back from the cycle, I had a quick bit to eat, before going
to Stamford to pick for my boyfriend Rob from
the train station. His train got in at 6:12pm, so it was only
two minutes late, which is not 2 bad I guess.
Once back to my place we kissed and hugged for a while. Before
walking up to The
Willoughby Arms, with Mark and the dog to get food. We all
seat outside, was a good idea at the time, but it was cold. We
would have gone and seat inside, but we could not because we
had the dog with us.
Once back from the pub. Rob and
me watched the rest of the first series and the whole of the
second series of "As Time Goes By" on DVD. Since we
watched so much of it, we did not end up getting to bed will
about 3:30am. |
Monday - 9th August 2004 |
Rob and
me got up at about 11:30am. We then both had showers. We had
to spend most of the day inside, because it did nothing but rain
all day long. The one time the rain did go off, we went out to
walk the dog, but the second we got outside it started to piss
it down. So we did not get that far before turning back.
Since we did not want to spend the whole day inside. Rob came
up with the idea of going to the cinemas to see Spider-Man
2. So I texted Matthew and asked if he also wanted to go.
He texted back saying that was a good idea and asking what time
it was on at. So I phoned him up, sorting things out over the
phone is a lot easyer then sending lots and lots of text messages
back and forwards. So we set 6:45pm as the place time for him
to get here, which give us 45 minutes to get to Peterborough.
Matthew got to my place died on 6:45pm. Which is good for him.
Most times he is bit late. We set off at about 6:50pm. It took
as a good while to get to Peterborough, I had never seen anything
like it before. The roads were so wet, it was like we were driving
up a river and not the road. We got to the Showcase
Cinemas in Peterborough at about 7:40pm. So we were 10 minutes
late, for the start of the film, but it worked out well because
we did not have to seat through all the adverts at the start
of the film.
The film started more or less the second we seat down to watch
it. It was a very, very good film indeed. It was a lot better
then the first Spider-Man,
if you ask me. This one had a lot more action in it, then the
first one did. I also liked it more because you got a lot more
close-up shots of him in his Spider-Man suit.
You got great views of his bum more then once in film. You also
got great views of his front half. I can't wait till it comes
out on DVD, I am going to have great fun with pause button.
I just wish I had the money to get a Spider-Man suit.
I could have great fun in it! To say the least. It would also
make some great photos, for my website's :P. Maybe some nice
person will read this and give me the money for getting one,
or better still the Spider-Man suit!!!
We can all dream!
Once we got out of the cinemas lucky the rain had mainly stopped.
So driving back home was a lot safyer then it was getting there.
Once back to my place Matthew picked up his DVD's that he give
me to watch a while ago, then he went back home. |
Tuesday - 17th August 2004 |
Rob and
me got up at about 11:00am. Then we both had showers. Then we
got dressed then I drove us both into Stamford town centre. While
in Stamford Rob and
me went to the main Post Office town, so that he could get his
disability living allowance. We were lucky that they accented
this Young Persons rail card as ID. If they had not, he would
have had to wait till he got back home to Rugby to get it. Then
once we were done at the Post Office we then went to Woolworths
so that he could get the Kingdom Hospital DVD box set.
Once we were done in the town centre we Morrisons to
get some food. I was well happy when we were there, I found that
they do flat satses, so of course we had to get them.
Once back from Stamford. Rob cooked
us both some flat states. They were very, very nice indeed. It
made me feel like I was at home in Scotland.
Once I we had eating them. I went out a cycle to Tallington
and back. I have a hell of lot of cycling to catch, since my
bike had been off the road for well over one week.
Then in the evening I was working at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. It was a OK night. It was a bit boring
once the mad rush at the start of the night had ended. Once
done at work, while driving back home I calling in at Tessco
to get myself some sweets.
Once back at home. Rob and
me watched The Smoking Room. If you have not seen it before then
you really don't know what your missing. I just hope that at
some point that we get to whos this post room Ben, that Robin
the gay one is always going, on and on about.
Then we watched the 1st episode of Kingdom Hospital, which was
very, very good indeed. I can't wait to see the next episode.
By the time it had finished we did not get to sleep till about
3:30am. |
Sunday - 22rd August 2004
ROB AND ME HAVE BEEN GOING OUT FOR HALF AN YEAR |
Rob and
me have now been going for half an year. To me it only feels
like yesterday that we started to go out. What a great half a
year it's been. We have already done lots of great things together
and have some great memory's. I can see us both being together
for a long time. So far we have only a number of very small fall
out's. And we have sorted them all out, relationship is getting
stronger and stronger all the time.
Today I wanted to do something different. Since Mark was using
his car to see his Mum and Dad there was not a long we really
could do. But of course I come up with an idea. And that idea
was to paint the bath room. The paint was in the house already
so all that Rob and
me had to do was to paint.
We we first started putting on the paint I was not 2 sure if
I liked it or not, but by that time it was too late, to change
our minds. But by the time we had put the second cost on it.
I was really starting to like to. But then anything would look
better then what it looked like before.
We did not tell Mark what we were up to, but lucky when he got
back him. He really liked it and said it looked a hell of a lot
better.
Even more good come out of Rob and
me doing the painting, it put Mark in a clean the house mood.
By the time he had stopped he had put about 6 bags of junk outside
for the bin men.
So over all Rob and
me had a great half year anniversary. Our first anniversary of
many all going well. |
Monday - 6th September 2004 |
I wake up at about 11:00am.
I then got out of bed, feed Pebbles. When I looked outside I
was not happy at all. The weather forecast said it was going
to be another hot and sunny day, just how wrong they were. So
I just turned on my laptop then got back in bed. What I did before
I got a wireless network for my laptop, I have no idea. It's
going to be great in the winter. Getting to stay in bed and surf
the net and keep nice and warm at the same time.
While I was in bed I played about on the Internet and watched
a program called "How the Twin Towers Collapsed" on
the Discovery
channel. It was very was a very good program indeed. I found
out lots and lots of things that I did not know before watching
it. After it finished I played about on the Internet for some
more.
I did not get out of bed still about 1:00pm. Yes I know very
bad of me. Someone my age should know better. Once out of bed
I had a shower. I just finished in the shower, just in time to
watch Neighbours on BBC1.
Once I had watched Neighbours I
had something to eat. Then I played on the net some more. I was
hoping the weather outside would get better, but it just did
not happen. But about 5:00pm, I give up any hope it would get
any better. So just made up my mind to go out on my bike. No
way was I going to let the weather stop me getting out on my
bike.
Once I got back from my 1 hour 15 minutes cycle. I had a quick
wash and change then Mark and me went to Morrisons to
do a food shop. On the way back from Morrisons we
called in at Currys to
have a look at Fridge Freezers. Other looking around for about
5 minutes. We made up our minds to get a Hotpoint one. Currys said
we will get it Saturday (11th September). I can't wait till we
get it, it will mean I don't have to drive to Morrisons so
much to get food.
Once back from Morrisons I
speak to my Mum and Dad for a while. Then chatted to my Rob and
find out about his first full day at college. Then went to bed
at about 1:00am. |
Wednesday - 8th September 2004 |
I got up at about 12:00pm.
I was hoping to get up sooner but for some reason I did not sleep
2 well last night. I was still awake about 4:00am. I really hate
it when that happens. Once out of bed, I had a shower. Then as
normal I played about on the Internet for a while.
At about 1:00pm I went out a walk with Pebbles. I got back just
in time to watch Neighbours.
Then I had something to eat, then played about on the net for
a while longer. Before going out a cycle on my bike. I went to Tallington and
back. By the time I got back from my cycle, I had to get ready
for work. Then Paul very nicely give me a life in. I would normal
drive myself in, or got with Mark, he was going training somewhere
else, so I could not use his car.
It was bit of boring night at work really. There was only about
27 tables in, which is nothing at all. Most of them did not have
much to drink at all.
I was just glad when work was over and I could get back home.
Once home I played about on the net and updated this website. |
Saturday - 11th September 2004 |
I got waken up at about 8:30am
by Mark ringing the land line number in my room, so he could
get me to look in the office and find someone's number that he
needed. I would normally not mind 2 much at getting waken up
then, but for some reason I did not get to sleep till gone 4:00am
last night. I tired my best to get back to sleep, but by about
10:00am, I give up, so I ended up getting out of bed.
I could not really do much today, because I had to stay in till
the Fridge Freezer, turned up. Now I am going to show up my age.
I think I did not get much sleep last night, because I was getting
exicted about getting the Fridge Freezer.
The Fridge Freezer come at about 1:30pm. I was really pissing
myself while they, were bring it, into the kitchen, because they
had a hell of a job getting in it. But they got it in, in the
end and in one bit 2.
Once they had gone, I had great fun removing it from it's box,
then moving it into it's new home, then turning it on.
Once I had fully sorted out the Fridge Freezer. I then had a
shower, because you know what it's like if I had a shower at
10:00am, when I got up they would have turned up when I was in
the shower. Once I had the shower, I cooked myself some food,
before taken the dog out a walk.
Once I got back from walking the dog, it was time to get ready
and go to work. It was the night from hell at work. Because the
Tote betting system in the Restaurant did not work. They also
tired the backup system, but it would also not work. So in the
end they had to go back to using the old system. Because of all
this the first race ended up being about 30 minutes late. They
also not to teach some of the waiting staff now to use the old
Tote betting system, because you need more people to run it.
Both bars were also mad, people did not stop drinking all night
long. It was like a Christmas night, got mad. Even at Christmas
it's not normally so busy. We also sold 53 bottles of wine, coming
to £569.75. That may not sound a lot, because it does mean
that I have to walk from bar 1 to the wine bar about 50 times.
So by the end up the night, it does mean that you have done one
hell of a lot of running about.
Because the first race was late, it meant that all the races
were late. On a normally Saturday night we would be done by 11:15pm,
but we did not get done till about 11:45pm.
I was so glad when I was back home. Once back home I watched Casualty it
was really great, but then Casualty always
is. I will just have to make sure that I don't mess the second
half of it Sunday night.
I went to bed about 2:00am. |
Wednesday - 15th September 2004 |
I got up at about 12:00pm.
Then jumped straight in to the shower. There was no hanging around
this morning, as I had a great deal to do. Because I am going
up to Scotland tomorrow for ten days. To look after the family
dog Ghille, while they are off on there holidays. I can't remember
where they are going to, so I will need to ask them when I get
there.
Once out the shower, I turned the on the oven to cook my lunch.
While the oven was warming up, I went into the back garden and
give the grass a cut.
Once I had cut the grass I cooked my food. While it was cooking,
I copied the email program that I use over to the laptop, so
that I can download my emails while up in Scotland.
Then I had my lunch while watching Neighbours on BBC1.
Then I took the dog out a walk, we both did not go too far, because
of how windy it was.
Once back from walking the dog. I went out a 10 mile cycle on
my bike. I went to Castle
Bytham via Creeton, Swinstead and Swayfield. Which is just
a bit of a long way to cycle to Castle
Bytham, but it turns what would normally be a 4 mile cycle
into a 10 mile one.
Once back from my cycle. I spoke to my BF
Rob on Yahoo! Messenger for a while. Before making a start
on getting packed for going to Scotland, in the morning.
Then at about 5:30pm. Mark and me left Little
Bytham to go to the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium for a fun evening for work. Yes, OK now
I am taking the piss. It was one of the most boring nights
I had never had there. It was even more boring then last night
was. I was so glad when the night was over.
Once back home I packed the rest of my stuff for going to Scotland.
Then had some flat sausages to eat, before going to bed at about
1:00am. |
Thursday - 16th September 2004 |
My day started about 8:00am.
Which is not like me at all, but I had to get out of bed so early
because Mark was teaching an Advanced Food Hygiene course in
Peterborough which started at 9:00am. Since I had no other way
of getting to the train station, I did not have much choice at
all. I guess the early morning will have done me some good, better
then saying in bed for half the day I guess.
Once in Peterborough I helped Mark get things already for him
to teaching the course. Then I took his car to drop off a box
for a mailing that he doing, about some of the courses that he
is running. Then I went to Sainsbury's to
get stuff to drink and eat on the train.
Then I had to hang around the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium till about 11:15am. When Andy the promotions
manager at the dog
track, very nicely give me a lift from the stadium to the
train station. It did mean that I got to the train station
a bit early, but that's far better then being late!!
Once at the Peterborough train station I could not believe how
much better it looked then the last time I was there. They have
a new ticket office and are in the progress of redoing the toilets.
While I was waiting at the train station waiting for the 11:45am GNER train
I had some cute guys to look at. For some reason you always get
a lot of them at the train station, but you never see any fit
guys walking around Peterborough City Centre. In less of course
I am walking around with my sexy BF
Rob, because he is fit :P.
The train turned up died on time, but then it would do as it's GNER after
all. I was hoping to get one on their new Mallard trains, but
no luck. But saying that they do only have eight of them so far.
I just hope, that I have more luck on the way down and get one
of the new ones.
Once on the train at long last I have this website a good update,
including what your reading right now and just watching all the
great views that you get on the East Coast mainline.
While the train was sitting in Newcastle train station I was
very happy indeed, because we pulled in next to one of GNER's new
Mallard trains and my wireless network card found the wireless
network on the train. Which means that one day, when I get one
of the new Mallard trains, I can get to surf the Internet on
it. Which sounds well cool, if you ask me!!
When I got into Glasgow Central train station my Mum and Dad
were there waiting for me, to get me a lift back to Killearn.
Of course when it being sunny Glasgow,
of course it was pissing it down, so we all got a bit wet while
walking to the car park.
Once back home I connected my laptop via the wireless network
to my Mum and Dad's ASDL connect. It's so fast, I really can't
wait till I get it in Little
Bytham, in England.
Once I had played about with the broadband for a while. My Mum,
cooked Dad and of course me tea. It was very, very nice indeed.
So thanks Mum, for being a great cook.
Not long after eating my younger brother Craig got back home.
It was great to see him again, as I have not seen him since Rob and
me went up to Scotland back in April.
I then just spend the rest of the evening speaking to my Rob on-line
and playing about on the Internet and of course doing more work
to this website. |
Monday - 27th September 2004 |
I got up at about 11:00am.
Then I went and woke up Ghillie the dog and let him out into
the back garden. Then I went and had a nice long hot shower.
Then I started the fun job of making sure that I had everything
packed for going back down to England. It always takes me longer
to get my stuff packed for going back down. Mainly because I
have to make sure that I do not forget anything. Most things
no mather how much I check, I always forget at least one thing.
Once I had checked that I had everything packed, other then
my laptop of course. Because I have to leave that to the last
minute, so that I still have something to do while sitting around
the house. I then cooked myself some lunch, I had it while watching Neighbours on
BBC1 Scotland.
Then I went out a walk with the dog down the cow field, as it's
locally known. We both got a bit wet. Ghillie was wet all over
and my feet got very wet to say the least. So once we were back
home, I dryed the dog. Then I turned on the fire in the sitting
room to dry my shoes off. I did not like the idea of having to
seat on a train later, with wet shoes on.
Then I spend the rest of the afternoon, playing with the dog,
listening to Runrig and
of course playing about on the Internet, while waiting for my
brother Craig very nicely to come and give me a lift to Glasgow to
get the 6:00pm train.
Craig got back home at about 4:45pm, after spending a night
at his girlfriends flat in Glasgow getting
pissed. In come in helped me put my bags in his car, then he
give me a lift back into Glasgow.
So thanks, very, very, very much Craig from saving me from having
to use the local bus service.
He dropped me off just outside the Royal
Concert Hall at about 5:25pm. I then walked from their,
down to Glasgow Central train station. When I got to the train
station the GNER Mallard
225 train was already there waiting.
When got on the train, I just could not believe now nice the
new GNER Mallard
trains are. It's the first time that I have been on one. They
is so much more leg room and the seats and lighting is so much
better. You can now even plug your laptop or mobile phone in,
so you will never get a flat battery again.
The train left Glasgow Central died on time. But of course,
it is GNER later
all. While the train was pulling out of the station, we passed
a BBC Scotland news team. Which I found very funny to say the
least. Because they were out filming the new Virgin train service.
That should take up to half an hour off the journey time from Glasgow to
London. But the flagship "Royal Scot" could not even
get to Carstairs before having a wheel problem. So it had to
travel at 50mph instead of 110mph down to Carlisle when it then
terminated. So pour people ended up getting in London, about
2 hours late. Oh well it is Virgin trains after all. Anyone would
think that I don't like them. Which may be true, but just tell
everyone that. But I do hope that they get things fully sorted
out. The more people get out of there cars and use trains the
better.
Now back to my journey.. By the time I got to Motherwell I was
already making use of the plug next to my seat (Coach C, seat
49A). Since one of the battery's for my laptop is getting old.
It does not last for long, so plugged my laptop in. Knowing I
could get to it for the rest of the journey without having to
worry about it going flat is great.
The only bad thing about the whole journey was sitting at the
emergency window, in the middle of the coach, which in some ways
is a bit off putting. But at least you know if something did
go wrong, at least you would have a way off the train.
I spend the rest of the journey writing up this news bit, watching
the second seasons of My Family on DVD and of course listening
to MP3s.
The train got into Peterborough train station about 5 minutes
last. I could not beelive it when I got there, because Mark was
already wainting in the car, for me. Which is not like him at
all, most times he is late in getting me.
Once I got back home I un-packed all my stuff, then played about
on the Internet for a while, before going to bed. |
