I
am now the proud owner of a R reg Seat Ibiza, Hatchback 1.4 SXE
5 door. It set me back £1,800 which I don't think is too
bad at all for a R reg, with 54,000 miles on the clock. I also
know that the car has been very, very well looked after, since
the people I got in from live on the same road as my Mum and
Dad do in Killearn.
It does feel weird paying a car that I have never driven before
in my life. I have booked next Tuesday and Wednesday off work,
to give me time to get use to driving it. Before having to
drive it all the way back down from Glasgow to Little
Bytham, all by myself. Which is going to be great fun driving
it over 400 miles, all by myself.
Then in the evening I went a quick walk with the dog. |
Saturday - 9th October 2004 |
I had to get up at 6:50am,
to go with Mark to Peterborough train station, so that he could
get the 7:45am train down to London. I had to do this to save
him from having to drive back from the train station to get me
once he was done in London.
Once Mark was at the train station safely, I drove his car back
home to Little
Bytham. Once back in at about 8:00am, I went straight back
to bed. Getting up at 6:50am, is way to early for my liking.
I got back home at about 8:00am, then I went back to bed.
I did not waken up again till about 11:00am. I got out of bed
at about 11:30am, just in time for the postman coming with My
Little Britain series one DVD. Once I had checked that the DVD
played OK. I then went and had a nice long hot shower. I always
find that the colder it gets outside the longer I like to be
in the shower. Once out the shower. I made myself look all nice.
Then I checked my e-mail and playing about on the net for a while.
Then I went into Stamford to call in at Homebase to
get a hose, so that when I get my car later next week, I don't
have to keep bring bucks of cold water though the house to wash
the car. The hose cost me £19.99, full price it would have
been £29.99 so I was well happy. It's also made by Hozelock,
which is a good make.
Once done in Homebase.
I went to Morrisons to
get myself some food. I did not that that much, since I am going
up to Glasgow on
Monday to get my car. If I had to much, all that would happen
is that someone else in the house, would eat it all before I
get back.
Once back from the shops, I cooked myself some lunch and eat
it while watching some stuff on Abc1. Which if you don't know
it is a new US channel on Freeview.
Then at about 3:45pm, I had to drive in Stamford again, but
this time to get some pills from the vets that Pebbles needs
to have everyday.
Once back I watched some of the Little Britain DVD. Before having
to get ready to go back to Peterborough to pick Mark up from
the train station and of course for a fun night at the dog track.
Work went not too badly at all really. We were up done at 11:15pm,
which is not too bad at all for a Saturday night.
After work some of us went out for a Pizza which was very nice
indeed. Once back home at about 1:30am. I watched Casualty before
going to sleep at about 3:00am. |
Monday - 11th October
2004 |
I got up at 8:00am. Then I
run down stairs and jumped into the shower. I made sure it was
nice and hot to waken myself up. Once out the shower I double
checked that I had all my things picked for going to Glasgow.
I then waited for Mark to get up, so he could give me a lift
to Peterborough train station.
We left the house at about 9:00am. We got to Peterborough in
good time for me getting the train. Mark dropped me off at the
station at about 9:35am. So I should have only had about 10 minutes
to wait for the train. I am sure that trains know when your on-time,
before when you are, they like to be late.
The train got into Peterborough train station at 9:56am. Ten
whole minutes later then it should have done. Well well theses
things do happen so not too worry. It was nice to get on the
train and out of the cold.
Once on the train everything was going well till we got to Northallerton
in North Yorkshire. When they had signal problem on the East
Coast mainline. So the train driver could not go any further
up the line till, he had been given the all clear from the signal
man (or woman of course).
So by the time the train got to Newcastle at 12:30pm, the train
was running 30 minutes late. Oh well these things happen, if
it had been a Virgin train it would have broken down or something.
When the train left Newcastle train station I moved from my
seat 61, to seat 59. To give the woman sitting next to me more
room. And of course so I could get a window seat, which I like
a lot more then the aisle seats. Because you don't have to keep
moving your legs, then people are walking up and down the train.
I got into Glasgow Central train station at 3:15pm. When I got
their my Mum was waiting to give me a lift back to Killearn.
I am so luck that my Mum does not mind driving into Glasgow to
drive me back to Killearn.
Because if she did not I would have to sit on a bus for 1 hour.
Once in Killearn I
waited for my Dad to get back home. Before going my first drive
in new my car. I was a bit scared when driving it, for more than
one reason. It the first time that I had driven it. And it's
was also the first time that my Dad had been in a car with me
driving it.
Once both back in the house my Dad said "I was a good driver".
Which of course did make me happy. The car is very nice to drive,
but it will take a while to get use to driving a different car.
Because I am so use to driving Mark's Ford Focus. But I am sure
that I will pick it up. That's once I remember where the revere
is, it's not in the same place as Focus.
More on this day still to come...... |
Thursday - 14th October 2004 |
Today I had the fun of driving
my new car all the way back down to England all by myself. To read
the full story see my driving
section. |
Monday - 25th October 2004 |
I did not get out of bed till
about 1:00pm. I was in bed so late, because I did not get to
sleep, last night till about 5:00am. Because of all the noise
that the wind was making.
Once I finally make it out of bed. I had a nice hot shower.
Then I played about on the Internet for a while. Then I made
myself some lunch and eat it while watching Neighbours on BBC1.
Once I had my lunch, I waited for it to go down a bit before
going out a cycle to Corby Glen. I am glad that I put all my
nice warm cycling gear on, because it was cold and windy.
Once back from my cycle. I got some stuff packed ready for
driving over to Rugby to spend the night with my boyfriend
Rob. I left Little
Bytham just after 6:00pm. I was hoping to get to his place
by 7:00pm. But I ended up not getting their till about 7:15pm.
Because I had to stop in Stamford on the way though to fill the
car up with petrol.
Once I got to Rob's house
in Rugby. I could tell how happy he was too see me, because he
come running out the house to meet me. Once inside he very nicely
cooked my some dinner. Then we went up to his room play to chat
and play about on the Internet for a while. Before going to bed
at 11:00pm, to both try out his new double bed and of course
sleep. |
Wednesday - 10th November 2004 |
I am so happy today. They are
going to ban smoking in enclosed public places in Scotland. This
is great news for non-smokers like me and many others. I just hope
that England and Wales now do the same as Scotland. I just wish
we did not have to wait till 2006 for the ban to kick in. The sooner
it happens the better if you ask me! IT does also mean that I may
start going out to pubs and clubs more. The main thing that does
stop me is all the people smoking. I really can't stand it at all. |
Friday - 12th November 2004 |
I
got up at about 9:30am. Then I had a shower, then I quickly checked
my email. Then at about 10:00am I set off on the drive to Rugby
to go and get my boyfriend Rob.
On the way I had to stop off at Morrisons petrol
station in Stamford, to put £15 for fuel in my car.
I really like the drive to Rugby. It's a nice and easy drive.
You can see the rote that I took from Stamford to Rugby on the
map to the left.
The drive to Rugby was all going very well till I got near to
the A14/M1/M6 interchange. Then we had about 5 miles for stop/start
traffic. But I did not really mind that bit of section of the
road always get very busy. At least I had Radio 1 on in the car
to keep me happy.
When I got to Rob's house,
he was not there. He had left a note on the door saying that
he had gone to Tesco.
I tired to be of some help and drive down to Tesco to
get him. When I got store he send me a text message asking where
I was. I said that I driven to Tesco to
pick him up. He sad that he was already back home. I did not
know at the time that she sister was working at home and get
given him a lift.
It did also not help that I got to his home, very early. I am
sure I said I would be there at about 11:00am. But it had turned
out that I said 12:00pm. Oh well it's always better to be early,
then to be late, if you ask me.
So at about 11:45am and me Rob got
on the road again. And headed for Little
Bytham. All the roads on the way back for nice and quiet.
On the way thought Stamford we called in at Morrisons to
get food to eat during the weekend.
We got back in time to cook our food and it was ready in time,
to eat it, while watching Neighbours.
Then after watching TV. We went out a walk with the dog. We only
went a short ish walk, because it was very, very cold outside.
Once back from walking the dog. We just chatted while playing
about on the Internet and watching TV.
Then in the evening I was work at the Dog
track. It was a bit of a shit night really to say the least.
Mainly because they have someone working behind the bar, who
I think it shit. Why they have him there I have no idea. At
one point had very really fucked up my wine list and I was
not happy at all. Because at the end of the night, it would
have been me who would have got it in the neck. If it had been
wrong. But lucky since I am good at my job, I got it sorted
out.
I was so glad when work was over for the night and I was back
home with my boyfriend Rob. |
Saturday - 13th November 2004 |
Rob and
me were both very, very good today. We were both out of bed and
showed by 10:30am. Which is not like us at all. Most mornings
we are lucky, if we're out of bed by 11:30am. Once we had both
checked our emails etc. I moved my car to the front of the house,
so we could both wash it. I think that I must have one of the
cleanest car's on the road. It's always' getting washed.
Once Rob and
me had finished washing the car. I then had fun giving the cooker
a very good clean. I don't think it has ever looked so clean,
us we got it. After that we both went up stairs to my room to
watch "As Time Goes By" that we had recorded off UKTV
Gold the night before. So far I only have the first 3 series
on DVD, I just wish they would bring all more. I can't wait to
own them all.
Then Rob very
nicely cooked us both some lunch. We had it while watching "Little
Britain". Which it a very, very funny comedy, which is showing
on BBC3.
Then Rob and
me both dressed up with some nice warm clothes and went a nice
long walk with the dog. I had three layers on and even then I
was still not very warm.
Then once back from walking the dog. Rob and
me just watched some TV, before I had to get ready to go to work.
Lucky work went a lot better, then last night. Mainly because
we were better staffed and also had better staff on. After work
I went out for a Pizza with some people from work. The Pizza
was very nice as always.
Once back home Rob and
me chatted, watched some TV, before going to bed at about 2:00am. |
Tuesday - 16th November 2004 |
On the way into work I heard
the Band Aid
20 song, called "Do They Know It's Christmas?" on
BBC Radio 1, for the first time. I am not really sure if, I like
it or not. I think that the first Band Aid song, was far better.
Which was done all the way back in 1984. But I am sure that the
new version will grow on me giving time. After all it's only the
first time that I have heard it. |
Monday - 22nd November 2004 |
Rob and
me have now been going out for 9 months as of today!! |
Friday - 26th November 2004 |
I got waken up at about 11:15am,
by someone at the door. By the time I had got out of bed to see
who it was. The person had gone. At least the person got my out
of bed. If it had not been for that I would have been in bed
till well later 12:00pm. Once more fully awake and with it. I
went outside to bring coal inside, to put on the fire. It's not
my favourite job in the world, but for some reason no one else
in the house does it.
Once I had sorted out the fire. I had a nice hot shower. Then
I cooked myself some lunch. I had it while watching BBC News
24. Then I played about on the net for a while, before watching Neighbours.
It was so good today, I do really hope that Karl and Susan get
things sorted out.
Then I took my bike outside to give it a good wash, it's not
had one for a while. I can't see myself using it much now, for
the rest of the year. It's getting way to cold even for my liking
to go out cycling.
Once I had washed my bike. I had fun counting all the change
that has been building up on my computer desk for the last number
of months. I could not believe it once, I had counted it. I had
over 40 pounds, in 5p, 10p and 20p's. Which I am well happy about,
that's over one week's food shopping budget.
In the evening just like every Friday night. I was working at
the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. It was a very, very busy night. You can
tell that it's starting to get near to Christmas, with how busy
the dog track is getting. I had a very busy night, in total we
sold 84 bottles of wine, coming to £1013.15. Lucky for
me the wine list all added up right at the end of the night. |
Monday - 29th November 2004 |
I got up at about 11:30am.
Then I checked my email. As normal I got nothing of any interest
really. I got lots of SPAM about it. I wish I could find a good
and easy way to stop all the SPAM that I get. It really does
my head in.
Once the post man had been and gone. I had a nice long hot shower.
I did not really want to get out of it. Since it was so hot and
the rest of the house was cold.
Once out of the shower. I booked the train tickets using the GNER
website, for Rob and
me going up to Scotland for the Christmas and New Year period.
In total the cost for the two tickets came to £96.30. £38.30
for Rob's tickets,
since he's got a Young Person's rail card. My tickets were £58,
since I am now too old for a Young Person's rail card.
Then I phoned up my Dad. To let him know that's the tickets
all sorted and to tell him the dates we're up for. Just incase
you wanted to know, we're going up on Monday 20th December 2004
and coming back down on Tuesday 4th January 2005.
Once I was all happy that I had all worked. I cooked myself
some lunch and eat it while watching Neighbours.
Then after Neighbours,
I jumped into my car and drove to Mark's new office to sort out
temporary dial-up Internet access, for him to use. While we wait
for ADSL to be sorted out.
Once got back home. I spend the evening on-line, watching TV,
listening to music and chatting to my Rob.
Of course I did not do them all at the same time. I may be good,
but I am not that good. |
Tuesday - 30th November 2004 |
I got up at about 12:00pm.
Just in time to stop the dog from braking like mad, at the post
man. When I check what post, we got. I could not believe it,
the train tickets that I only ordered yesterday turned up. I
think that has to be a record for how fast they turned up. Normally
it takes at least a day or so.
Once I had checked what other post there was. I had a shower.
Then I give the house a bit of a house. Before watching Neighbours and Doctors on BBC1.
Then after watching television.
I cooked myself some lunch. Then I spend a number of hours given
The Gay Glasgow site a much needed update. Doing that filled
up most of my afternoon. Before going to the dog track for a
fun evening at work. |
Thursday - 2rd December 2004 |
I got up at 11:30am. I only
woke up so soon because the dog was braking at something. Normally
she only brakes when she hears the post man, or when someone
is at the door. I was not really happy when I checked at no one
was there. I think the dog is going mad, I guess it's just her
age. And she's starting to hear things that are not there.
Lucky I did not have the wait much longer for the post man to
turn up. He got to the house at about 12:00pm. Just like most
days, I had to sign for some post for Mark. Like most days I
got nothing at all.
Then I had a quick shower, before driving to the local village
of South Witham to get some coal for the fire. Because we had
run out a number of days ago. Since it looked like no one else,
was going to do it, I had to do it.
Once back home I watched Neighbours.
Before lighting the fire, which I really hate doing. Everyone
else in the house, does it within minutes. I takes me hours to
get the thing going. I starting doing at about 2:10pm. And it
only starting going nicely by about 3:30pm.
When I was happy it was not going to out. I cooked myself a
Pizza. Then I played about on the net for a while. Before going
a dog with the dog. We did not set off till about 4:15pm. So
by the time we got back home at about 5:00pm, it was fully dark.
Walking in the dark, with no touch is great fun. I should do
it more often.
Once home all safe and well. I had the dog a clean. Then I put
some more coal on the fire. Then I went to my room to play about
on the Internet and speak to my Rob on-line.
At about 9:00pm I want a drive to Morrisons to
get myself some more food and stuff to drink. Once back home
and in my room I chatted to my Rob some
more. Before taken my laptop to bed with me, and given this website
a update.
I turned my laptop off at about 1:45am and went to sleep. |
Saturday - 4th December 2004 |
I did not get much sleep at
all last night. Because I did something to my neck last night.
I have no idea what, but when I moved my neck, it hurt like hell,
to say the least. By the time I got out of bed at about 12:00pm,
lucky it was feeling a bit better. But still no where near 100%
right.
While my baby Rob was
having a shower. I watched Sports Night on abc1 on Freeview.
I think it's a great programme. When I have a bit more money,
I think I will need to buy it on DVD.
Then once Rob was
out the shower. I wanted for a couple of minutes, before having
one myself, to give the water time to heat up again. Then once
out the shower Rob and
me lit the fire again, as it went out last night.
Then once I was happy what the fire was going well and was not
going to go out on us. We both went to Morrisons to
buy some drink and food. While there I also got "Spider-Man
2" on DVD.
Once back from Morrisons. Rob very
nicely cooked us both food. We then had it while watching "Spider-Man
2". We had both seen it before. But last time it was at
the cinemas, the one we went to see did not have subtitles. So
watching it again was good for Rob,
because this time he got to find out the full story line. I also
really liked watching it again. Because it's a great film and
also because the Spider-Man uniform is just so sexy :P
In the evening I was working at the dog track. It was a bit
of crap evening. I was just not really in the mood for it at
all. It did also not help that my neck was still not feeling
right. At about 9:20pm. Someone, I am not going to say his name,
really pissed me off. So much go, I just walked out of the place.
Got in my car and drive home. I don't think that work was too
happy with me really. Oh well these things happen.
Once back home I watched a "Thomas The Tank Engine" DVD
with my Rob.
Yes we're both big kids at heart. We then watched Casualty before
going to bed at around 1am. |
Sunday - 12th December 2004 |
I did not waken up till about
1:00pm. Meaning that I got over 11 hours sleep. I know that I
worked hard last night, but I did not think that I had worked
that hard, to make me so tired. I am starting to think that I
am starting to get way to much sleep.
Once out of bed. I feed the dog. Put more coal on the fire.
Then I had a nice hot shower. Then I put the oven. While I was
waiting for it to heat up. I went to my room and checked my email
and played about on the Internet for a while.
Once the oven was up to temperate. I put my food in. While I
was waiting for it to cook. I played about with BBCi on Freeview.
It's far better since they added pages number to it. It's far
easier to get around it and found out the information that your
looking for.
Once my food was ready. I eat it while watching a film called "The
Railway Children" on ITV1.
I have seen it, many, many times. But no matter how many times
I see it. The film still makes me cry.
In the evening I spoke to my boyfriend Rob on-line
for a while. It was great to catch up with him. Since I have
not chatting to him since Thursday. At least it's not long at
all now, till we both go to Scotland together.
At about 10:00pm. I was sitting the house, thinking I am bored.
So I put my bike in the back of my car. Then I drove to some
local woods. I then got my bike out of the car. Then I had great
fun cycling around in the dark. Of course I did have a front
light on. Even then it was hard working out where the path's
were. I will need to do it again. It was great fun!!! :P
Once back home I was using my desktop computer and the screen
started to mad and get lines all over it. At first I was sure
it was my monitor. When I plugged into my laptop it worked great.
When I also plugged in a different monitor to my desktop computer,
it also did the same thing. So I ordered a new graphics card.
I just hope when it comes, later in the week. It fixes my desktop
computer or I will not be happy at all.
Since my desktop is out of use. I had to make do with using
my laptop and cooking my legs while using it on my bed.
I went to bed at about 2:00am. Which is good for me. For the
past number of nights I have not been getting to bed till gone
3am. |
Monday - 13th December 2004 |
I got up at about 11:15am.
Which is very good for me. Most days I am not out of bed till
gone 12:00pm. It may only have been 45 minutes then early then
normal, but you can do a lot in 45 minutes.
At about 11:30am. Once I had quickly checked my email and was
fully awake and went and had a nice hot shower. Once out of the
shower, I then I went outside to bring coal into the house, to
put on the fire to kept it going for the rest of the day.
Then I spend about half of the afternoon playing about on the
Internet and catching up with all the news on the BBC
News website. Then at 1:40pm like most week days I watched Neighbours.
Then straight after Neighbours.
I jumped in my car and drive to the local village of Castle
Bytham to renew my car road tax. But when I got there with
all the forms and the money I needed to do it. The very nice
woman looked at the V11 form and said that I would need to come
back on Wednesday. Because you can only do it so many days before
it expires. Which since it was the first time in my life, I had
ever done it. I did not know that. At least I will know for the
next time. It was means that I will need to go back sometime
after Wednesday, with all the forms and sort it out.
So then after leaving the Post
Office in Caste
Bytham. I then drove to Stamford to get my hair cut. I
had been meaning to do it for about 4 weeks. But I really hate
getting it done. No idea why, I just do. If I not did not get
it cut before going to Scotland. My Mum would make me do it
while up.
After getting my hair cut, I then went to Morrisons to
do some food shopping and put some fuel in my car. Then once
back from Stamford. I spend most of the evening playing about
on the Internet and of course chatting to my great boyfriend Rob.
Then at about 10:00pm. Once my boyfriend had logged off the
Internet and gone to bed. I watched "Garfield The Movie" on
DVD. It was very funny indeed. But it did remind me why I don't
really like cats at all. The after the film I played about on
the net some more before going to bed at about 2:00am. |
Tuesday - 14th December 2004 |
I
got waken at about 11:00am, by the dog braking. But was once
I was happy that she had waken up up, because when I went to
the front door to see who is was. It was the very nice man from Parcel
Force with the new graphics card what I had ordered from Dabs Sunday
night. It took me about 10 minutes to get the old one out. And
get the new one installed. The new graphics
card that I installed a "GeForce FX5200 128MB DDR PCI DVI
VO". Just incase any of you wanted to know. It's
a hell of a lot better then the old one that died. My last one
only had 16 mb this one has 128 mb, it also has a TV out, should
at some point I need to connect my TV to my PC.
Once I was happy it was all working. I had a shower, then did
the normal stuff. Being going to work at the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium. I had a fun evening because I had to teach
someone else how to do my job while I am up in Scotland. I think
he as picked most of it up. He use to think that I had a easy
job, but I think that Richard has changed his job about that.
I just make it look easy, since I have been doing it for so long.
Once back from work I watched Holby
City. That I had recorded while I was at work. At about
2:00am. I went to bed, but I did not get to sleep till gone
6:00am. Because I had a very, very sore throat. The only reason
that I got any sleep at all, was because at about 5:30am I
took some "Beechams
Flu Plus" lemon drink, which I hate the taste of,
but at least it helped me get to sleep in the end. If I had
not had it, I don't think that I would have got any sleep at
all. |
Friday - 17th December 2004 |
I got up at about 1:30pm.
I did waken up at about 11:00am, but it was too nice and hot
in my bed for me to want to get out of it. So I just stayed in
bed and watched BBC
News 24 for a while. Once I got out of bed, I had a nice
hot shower. Then I sorted out the fire.
Then I cooked my self some lunch and had it while watching Neighbours.
It was very good indeed today. I always hate this time of year,
because it's the last one till start 2005. Which means I am going
to have to find something else to do. Then after Neighbours,
I watched Doctors which
is also on BBC1.
Then jumped in my car and drove to Post
Office in Castle
Bytham to get my car road TAX sorted out. It only toke
a couple minutes. it cost £60.50 for half a year. So
at least now I know I don't have to worry about it for another
6 months.
Once back from the Post
Office, I give this website a much needed update. And listened
to BBC Radio 2.
Then in the evening I was working at the dog track. It was a
busy evening to say the least. In total the restaurant sold 102
bottles of wine. Coming to a grant total of £1074. So that
meant lots and lots of running about for me. I was glad when
the evening was over and I was in my nice warm bed. |
Sunday - 19th December 2004 |
Rob and
me both got up at about 11:30am. Then we both had showers. Then Rob helped
me pack, for us both going to Scotland tomorrow. Once that was
done, Rob then
very nicely cooked us both lunch, while I watched a program called "Rocket
and It's Rivals" on uktv
History.
Then we both went outside and washed both my car and Mark's.
I did not want to have a dirty car sitting outside the house,
while up in Scotland. Then we watched Casualty that
I had recorded last night.
Then we watched "The Grinch" on ITV1. But I did not
get to see the end of it, because I fell asleep while watching
it. I was tired because I did not get much sleep last night,
with having a bad cold.
In the evening Rob and
me watched Casualty,
then after that we both watched Test
the Nation we got 44 out of 70 right. Which I don't think
is too bad at all really. Then we just watched some more on BBC1,
no idea at all what it was, then we went to bed at about 1:30am. |
Monday - 20th December 2004 |
Rob and
me both got out of bed at about 10:15am. Then we both had showers.
Once we both had dressed, Rob helped
me to get the fire going, because it had gone out during overnight,
because someone and you know who you are, did not put coal in
it, before going to bed.
Once we were happy the fire was going, we both then went to Morrisons in
Stamford to get some stuffs to drink and eat while travelling
on the train. We also got some dog food, since Mark had run out.
We did a last check to make sure that we had both packed everything
for the train journey to Glasgow. Then we watched some TV to kill
time before Mark very nicely give us both a lift to Peterborough
to get the 1:44pm GNER service to Glasgow Central Station.
We got to the train station with about 5 minutes left and got
on the train dead on time but then it's GNER again
all. Once we got onto the train, it took us a while to find somewhere
to put our bags, I always normally travel light but since we
are taking up all our Christmas presents, we had two very big
cases and needed somewhere to put both of them and it was hard
work.
Once we had sorted out the cases problem we both went to find
our seating in the coach E. I had seat 15 next to the window
and Rob had
got the aisle seat.
We only has got to the north of Grantham when the first problem
came which caused the train to go just 20Mph instead of the normal
125Mph, to go over a bridge because a vehicle of some kind had
hit it. The train had to go slowly over the bridge for safety
reasons, so by the time we got to the next station in Doncaster
the train was running about 15 minutes late.
Lucky after that the journey went well with not problems at
all. But it did mean that we got into Glasgow at 7:00pm and not
6:43pm, like it should have done. Oh well these things do happen.
But the good thing about the train being late, meant that it
give my Dad time to walk down from the car park, to give us help
with taken our cases to the car.
We got to my home in Killearn at
about 7:45pm. Once in the house. We both seat down for a while.
Then I cooked us both chips and ham for dinner. Then I went into
the loft to find some train track and also a power controller.
So that I could try out my GNER model
train that I got a while ago.
We both went to bed at about 12:00am. We were both very tired
indeed. |
Wednesday - 22rd December 2004 |
Rob and me got at about 11:15am.
Then we both had showers. Then I went on the Internet and looked
at Traveline
Scotland website to find out what the bus times were getting
a bus into Glasgow. It said the next bus we could get was the
12:54pm bus. If we had got out of a bed a bit sooner we could
have made the 11:54am bus. But these things happen so not too
worry.
At about 11:40am we left the house to walk around to the Main
Street to get the bus. When we got there there was a group of
teenage's at the bus stop. Rob made
me laugh we he asked me if one of them was gay or not. I said
I could not tell. But he did look gay and well he ran over the
road. Going by the way he run, I am sure that he is gay. He stays
on the stay road as my folks. So I will need to study him some
more to fully make up my mind.
The bus was a bit late. It should have go there at 12:54pm.
But it turned up at about 1:05pm. At least it turned up, so that
is the main thing. It's the first time I have used a bus in over
a year. It was weird using one again.
When got into Glasgow at about 1:50pm and got off the bus on
Renfrew Street. Then we walked down Sauchiehall Street to the
Halifax bank, so that I could fully sort out my new bank account.
It did not take long at all. I just had to pay £100 into
it, so it's it now fully sorted. All that I have now have to
do, is to wait for my Switch Card.
Then after that we went to Comet and
some other electrical stores to sort out Rob's Christmas
present. But you will need to wait till Christmas day to see
what he got. Then after that we went to D & F Models on Bell
Street to get some track cleaning for the model trains rail track.
Then we went to Debenhams where
I spend £20 on six pairs of Ben Sherman socks. I have been
needed some new ones for a while, but never got around to getting
any.
Then we spend a good while just looking around DVD and clothe
shops. Both Rob and
me got some DVD's, then we got the 5:00pm bus back to Killearn.
We then spend the evening watching TV and playing about on the
Internet. |
Saturday - 25th December 2004 |
Yes it's Christmas and what
a great day was had by all. It was a really special day for Rob and
me since it was out very first Christmas together, the first
of many.
My Mum and Dad got me a new digital camera. I should not believe
it, when I opened the box. I did not know anything at all about
it, till I opened it. I come very close to crying, since I just
could not believe it. So if you ever read this Mum and Dads thanks
so much!! I really LOVE the both of you!!
My Rob got
me The X Files: Season 1 DVD box set, which I had been wanting
for a long time. With 7 DVDs in the box, it will keep us both
busy for a good while watching them. He also got me "One
Foot in the Grave", the first series on DVD. I just love
it, it's so funny.
He also got a Clinton Card glass frame with poem printed on
it. An air freshener for my car. I hope that he did not get it,
because he thinks that the inside of my car smells. LOL. He also
got me me lots nice chocolates to eat and get fat on.
From Rob's family
I got the gay film Beautiful Thing on DVD from his sister Jenny.
Car wash stuff and big book of Trains and Locomotives from his
Mum and Dad. FCUK Shower stuff from his Aunt Jen. And some more
chocolate from his Nan and Grandad.
So I would just like to say a very, very big thank-you to my
Mum and Dad, Rob's family
and of course my Rob,
for making Christmas a great day. |
Thursday - 30th December 2004 |
I got waken up by the post man
at about 10:30am. But I was happy when I opened my post, because
at long last I have got my Switch card for my new bank account.
Now I just have to hope that I get the pin number, before I go
back down to England, next Tuesday. But hey it's a good start.
Then I went back to bed for a while and watched another episode
of The X Files with my Rob.
Before getting out of bed at about 12:30pm. Then we both had
showers. Then we watched Keeping Up Appearances on BBC1,
while playing about on the Internet.
Then we both spend most of the rest of the day playing about
on the Internet and watching stuff on TV. |
Friday - 31st December 2004 |
Rob and
me got waken up by, my Mum at about 10:25am. She was asking if
we wanted to go into Stirling, with her and Dad for a while. Which
of course I said yes to. Stirling is not my favourite place in
the world. It's a bit to small for my liking, but at least it got
us out for the house for a while.
We all got to Stirling at about 11:45am. Then Mum and Dad, went
to look around the shops that they wanted to. So Rob and
went to look around the shops, that we wanted to. Which in Stirling,
is not much at all. We looked around Virgin, HMV, W.H
Smiths and that was about it. We were both very good and
did not get anything. Other then something to drink, but that
does not really count, if you ask me.
After looking around the shops. We both meet up with my Mum
and Dad again at 1:00pm, inside W.H
Smiths. Then we all walked back to the car. And Dad drove
us all back to Killearn.
Once back, Rob and
me played about on the Internet for a while. Then we all had
a meal. When I say we, I mean Craig, one of his mates, my Rob,
Mum and Dad and me. It's very, very, very nice indeed.
Then after the meal Rob and
me played about on the Internet some more, before watching "Casualty
at Holby City" it was, very good. But it was also sad, as
one of the main people got killed off in it.
Then after that we just played about on the net for someone.
Before going down stairs to bring in the New Year with my Mum
and Dad. It may not said it so most people, but it was very,
very special to me. Because I got to spend it with some of the
people that I love the most in the world.
Then after 12:00am and 2005 had started Rob and
me went back on the net. You may as well start it, the way that
you mean to cary on. Then we went to bed at about 2:00am. And
watched some more of The X Files DVD, that Rob got
me for Christmas. |
