- 1st April 2006 |
God it's April already. This
year is going by very fast, so far. I am sure that the older you
get, the faster the, years go by. At least it's now April. So
the British summer weather, should just be around the corner.
I got up of bed, at about 10:45am. Then I checked my mobile,
to check it Rob was on time or not. As he was coming over to get
the rest of this stuff. Lucky, for me, he was running a wee bit
late. So it give me time, to have a shower. Make myself and the
house look nice and clean. It also give me time, to get all his
stuff ready for him to get.
He come just after 11:15am. He had lots of clothes, a bike and
some other stuff to get. It was nice to get to see him again.
As we had not seen each other, since we broke up on the 9th March.
Once he had got all his stuff and had gone. I had a wee bit of
a cry. Because it's just really hit me, that we're 100% over.
At least we're still speaking to each other. I think it was good,
that we broke up, before it went really wrong and we started to
hate each other.
Once I had stopped crying and got myself together. I phoned up
my bank to activate my new debit card. Which I had to do. Since
my last one expired at the end of March. It only took a about
2 minutes to do. Then after that, since I was in a use the phone
mood. I also phoned them up, to get a new pin number. Since I
can't remember the pin code, for one my of cards.
Then after that, I chatted to Freddie on MSN for a while. Incase
you have not heard that name before. And want too know who he
is. I work with him, on the bar at the dog
track. We just chatted about work, his girlfriend, Becci.
And way to much other stuff, to tell you about.
Once he had gone off-line. I took the dog out for a nice walk.
We did not go too far. As it had been raining on and off, most
of the day. And I did not really feel like getting wet. Once I
was back from walking the dog. I played about on the net for a
bit.
I then recorded a new podcast.
My podcast's, are doing very well so far. When I first started
doing them. I was not too sure that people, would even listen
to them. If my website stats, are anything to go by. They are
doing very well indeed. Over 70 people have downloaded, episode
11 alone. So if you have still to listen to my podcast, then check
out my podcast
section. To hear what your missing out on.
Then I cooked myself some lunch. And eat it while watching The
West Wing, that I recorded off More4,
last night. I can't believe that series 7, is the last ever series.
I really like it. It would be nice, if they make a UK type version
of it. But I can't seen that happening for some reason.
Then in the evening I was working at the dog
track. I was working on bar 1 with Freddie and Becci. Yes
the same ones, that I spoken about. A wee bit before. Work was
not, too bad tonight. It was a wee bit, on the busy side. I sold
67 bottles of wine. Coming to a grand total of £692.75.
So in other words, a far bit more, then I make in a average month.
In was also a bit of a sad evening. As tonight was Becci's very
last evening at the dog
track. As she, has got herself a new job. I will miss her,
and I know, I will not be the only one.
Then after work, I went with Andrew, Freddie and Becci. The see
the new place that Becci is working. It's some night club in Peterborough,
no idea what it's called. It was weird for me. I have been to
many night clubs. It was the first time, that I have ever been
to a straight one. It was OK, the music as a bit crap. No idea
what is was. I only heard one song, that I had heard before.
I was there till about 1:00am, I guess it was. I said goodbye
to Becci. Then Andrew and Freddie very nicely showed me back to
my car. As I had no idea, how to get back to it. As I don't really
know the centre of Peterborough that well. Once I was back at
my car, I said good bye to them both.
Then I drove myself back home to Little
Bytham. Once back in, I listen to some music for a bit. Before
going to bed at about 2:30am. |
Tuesday
- 4th April 2006 |
Some good news. That's my bike
now back, on the road again. After being off the road, since last
Thursday. |
Wednesday
- 5th April 2006 |
Don't
really have much at all so say. Other then happy birthday to my
great Mum. I am not going to say that age she is. Don't think she
would be, happy with everyone on the Internet knowing. I think that,
the flowers, I send her, went down very, very well indeed! It's
the first time, in my whole life, I have ever send anyone flowers
though the post. They made her day, to say the least. |
Thursday
- 6th April 2006 |
I
got up at about 11:30am. Then I jumped in the shower. Once out
the shower. I just played about on the net of course. Like I do
everyday and waited for the postman. He did not turn up till,
just after 1:00pm. I was happy at first when, he knocked on the
door, since he had post for me. He had a new mic stand, that I
ordered, Monday off ebay.
But I was not very happy, when I opened it. As bits of it, had
been broken in the post. So I sent the place I had gotten it,
from an email. They were very good about it. And said they would
post me a new arm for it. To replace the bits that got broken.
Once I had sorted that out. I went to Morrisons to get more food. I know that I only went on Monday. I just did
not feel like eating anything that I had in the house.
When back from Morrisons.
I cocked my lunch. And eat it while Neighbours,
that I had Freeview+ when at the shops. Then I just played about
on the net some more. I also recorded a new podcast.
My room is now starting to look like a recording studio or a local
radio station. With all the gear that I have been getting to do
my podcasts.
Then I took the dog out for a walk. We did not go that far. As
I found it a wee bit cold, for my liking. i don't think that she
really minded going a short walk. She is just happy to get out
the house.
Then I watched some TV for a bit. Before going out a cycle.
I only went out a 9 mile cycle. I would normally have gone for
a longer cycle. But I forgot to recharge my front bike lights,
after the last time I used them. So I did not want to go, to far.
Just incase, they run out on me.
Once back in, from my cycle. I watched some more TV, listened
to some music. And chatted to mates on the net. Then I watched Grand
Designs, that I had recorded a couple of nights ago. I could
not believe it. The house, they were showing being build. Was
just outside my home village of Killearn.
The house was so nice, it even has it's own Loch. The next time,
I am up in Scotland. I will need to try to get photos of it. For
my Killearn
website.
So that was my Thursday. It was better, then last Thursday. Since
my bike, did not die again . |
Sunday
- 16th April 2006 |
I woke up at about 12:00pm.
But I did not get out of bed, till after 12:30pm. Because I stayed
in bed, to watch Blue
Water High. That I had recorded on my PVR, before I woke up.
Yes I know it's, a really a kids TV show. I have to watch it,
since the three main guys in it, are well fit. I was in heaven
while watching it. As they spend most of the episode topless,
or in very tight shorts. So if you, have never watched it, then
you really should do. It's on Five most Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Once I was out of bed. I had a shower, then checked my email.
Then since it was nice outside. I went out into the back garden.
And give the grass a cut. Then I spend about 2 hours, I guess
it was. Just getting the garden a general tidy up.
Then I spend a good number of hours watching cycling and other
stuff on the tv. While watching the track cycling on BBC2,
they did a interview with Theo
Bos. Which I was so pleased to see. As up till that point,
I was not even sure, if, Theo
Bos, could speak any English or not. Since it's from the Netherlands.
I have always really liked them. Now I have heard him, speak.
I think I am in love!! LOL! As he's got a very sexy voice, to
go with his sexy cycling gear.
Then I took Pebbles out for a nice walk. Then once back from
the walk. I cooked myself some lunch. Then I recorded, episode
19 of my podcast.
It took for at least 30 minutes to recorded it. As I kept saying
things wrong, so had to keep starting it again. Once I had done
it. I was happy. If you have still to listen to my podcast's,
then please check out my podcast
section.
Then in the evening. I went out for a cycle. I only did 12 miles.
As it was a bit cold. My arms, legs and hands, were nice and warm.
It was just my head was getting very cold. So I cut the cycle
short.
Once I was back from the cycle. I cooked myself some dinner.
Then I spoke to Namir on ICQ for a while. And sorted out, him and his BF coming over to Little
Bytham for the day.
Then it was off, to bed at about 2:00am.
BTW this page now has a or as some people call them 'live bookmarks.' |
Monday
17th - April 2006
MP3 version: Episode 20 (128 kbps, 6:02 minutes) |
Today
at long last, I got to meet up with Namir that I have been chatting
to, on the Internet for the last 3, 4, or maybe even the last
5 years. It's been a long time, away. We made up our minds, we
may as well, make the most of the Monday bank holiday.
Had a great day. Been to Stamford, Burghley
House and Rutland
Water with Jaco and Namir.
To the left is a photo of Jaco. Next time, I meet up with them.
I will need to make sure that I get a photo of Jaco and Namir
together.
I will write this day up in full, very soon. If can you wait,
till then. Then listen to episode
20 of my podcast. |
Tuesday
18th - April 2006 |
Nothing much to say about today
really. Today was like a Monday for me. Since Monday was a bank
holiday. I did everything today, that I normally do on a Monday.
So in other works, I went to Stanford to go the bank and to the
shops.
I did also, record by longest podcast so far. Which is just over
6 minutes long. In the podcast, you will hear me trying to write
out a letter, that I got my from my local Tory MP, Quentin
Davies. It had so many names and words that I could not read
out right, I give up. So here is the text version of it.
"Dear Mr Valentine
Further to our recent correspondence I have now heard back
from Stephen Ladyman at the Department for Transport about the
rules on cycling in the Highway Code. I enclose a copy of the
Minister's letter for your information.
Yours sincerely
Dictated by Quentin Davies but signed in his absence."
Below is the replay that Quentin Davies got from Stephen
Ladyman, who works for the Department
for Transport.
"Dear Quentin
Thank you for your letter of 10 March addressed to Derek
Twigg enclosing correspondence from your constituents, relating
to rules on cycling in the Highway Code.
The Code is periodically reviewed and republished after extensive
consultation to ensure all views are heard. The current consultation
is being carried out by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and
will run until 10 May 2006. There is an opportunity to raise the
issues surrounding use of cycling helmets and cycling safety before
any decisions are taken on revising the Code.
Full information on this consultation including proposed
amendments to the Code and how to register your comments can be
found on: www.dsa.gov.uk/highwaycode.
I will pass your correspondence onto the DSA in order to
be taken into account in the consultation.
Stephen Ladyman"
It really nice to get letters from my local MP. It's good to
know that the person. I voted for does care. And cares the time
to get back to you. |
Wednesday
- 19th April 2006 |
I
did not really do that much today. Other then phone up the local
grange to book my car for MOT. So I just really hope that, it
passes. I really hate MOT's as you can never tell how much it's
going to cost you. But I will found out, when it goes to the grange
this coming Monday. Other then, that I of course watched Neighbours on BBC1.
Had lunch and walked the dog.
I also recorded the second Wetsuitlads
podcast. Yes you heard right. My Wetsuitlads
website, now also has a podcast. That podcast will have things
including the history of wetsuitlads, wetsuit stories, interview
with the models and much more.
Then other, then that I was of course working at the dog
track in evening from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. So that was my day,
nothing really to write home about. |
Saturday
- 22rd April 2006 |
I did not get out of bed till
about 2:00pm. Yes very, bad indeed. I just did not feel like getting
up. And was too happy, staying in bed to watch TV. Once I did
get out of bed. I had lots and lots to do before, leaving to go
to work at 5:15pm.
So once out of bed. I had a quick shower. Then I checked my email.
Then I went outside to give the back grass a cut. Then I give
my mountain bike a much needed wash. Then straight after that,
I then give the car a good wash. So I am going down to a place
near Cambridge after work. I don't like people seeing me driving
a dirty car.
Then after I took the dog out for a walk. Then once back from
that. I then cooked myself some lunch and had it, while watching
My Family. That I had recorded last night, while I was at work.
Then I got everything picked for going down to Swavesey. I also
put my bike rack on the back of my car. So I could take my bike
with me.
Then I set off, for work. So far, it's the longest journey that
I have done with my bike on the back of the car. It's did feel
a bit weird, since the fastest you go, with it on the back of
your car is 60 mph. Since when I am on the A1, I am normally doing
at least 70 mph.
Then once at work. I had to to take my bike and bike rack off
the back of the car. As I did not want to finish work. And find
out that someone had nicked them.
My evening at the work. Went not too badly at all. I am still,
getting use to all the new stuff we're selling. Because Carling
Larger as been replaced by Foster's. Grolsch as been replaced by Kronenbourg
1664. Worthington Bitter, as been replaced by John
Smith's Smooth. And last but not least Toby Bitter, as been
replaced by Webster's Bitter. So just remember which, pump is
which is going to take a while to remember. Since they have been
the same since, I started working at the dog track, all the way
back in April 2003.
Then once work was over. I had the fun of putting my bike and
bike rack back on the car. Once I was 100% sure, it was on safely.
I then had the fun of driving down the A1(M), then along the A14,
to Cambridge services. So I journey of about 30 miles. Then from
Cambridge services, I drove to Swavesey.
Swavesey was nice and easy to find. I could not find Jaco and
Namir, house to save my life. So I had to phone Namir for help.
We was not even 100% sure, where in the village I was. So he asked,
if I could turn away and drive back to Cambridge services. We're
he would meet me. Once I got to Cambridge services. He was there
waiting for me. I then followed, his car, back to his house. It's
so much easier to find, when your following someone, who knows
where it is .
Once at their house. Jaco and Namir, both after nicely helped
me get my bike off the back of the car. And put it safely in their
back garden. Then they showed my around their very nice house.
Then we all chatted about stuff. Then they both nicely cooked
me a pizza. Then we all stayed up till about 4:00am. I guess it
was chatting about things.
So that was my fun filled Saturday. |
Sunday
- 23rd April 2006 |
Here soon. |
Monday
- 24th April 2006
MP3 version: Episode 21 (128 kbps, 1:30 minutes) |
My day started at 8:15am. Which
is, very, very early for me. I was up so early, because I had
to take my car to the local garage. To get it's yearly MOT. Why
when they said pick a time, I said 9:00am. I have no idea. So
once out of bed. I had a shower. Then I changed that I had everything,
with me that the garage needed for the MOT.
Then I drove up car to Careby. Which is just over 1 mile from
my village. I use the garage in Careby. Since so far, they have
been very good. And there service is also very good too. Once
I dropped my car off. I then walked back to my village. They did
ask, if I wanted a lift back home. I said no thanks. Since it
was a nice morning.
Once back home. I watched Casualty that I had recorded Saturday night. Casualty very very good like, it always is. It was also a very sad one
today. As they are running a cancer story line right now. So lets,
just say I did a far bit of crying while watching it. I am gay
man. So it's OK for me to cry.
Then not long after it had finished the garage, phoned me up,
to say that my car had failed it's MOT. I was OK with that, as
I had a feeling it would do. But lucky they said it was on nothing
to big. So could not cost too much, to fix.
So then I spend the rest of the day, watching TV. And doing stuff
around the house. And chatting to Namir on ICQ.
I could not really do much else. As I had to wait, really for
the people at the garage to phone me. To let me know, once my
car was ready.
They phoned me at about 3:15pm. To tell me it was ready. So I
walked up to Careby to get it. The bill to get it fixed was just
£102.31. So I was, well happy. As I had saved up well over
£300 for it's MOT. So I now have all this extra money and
no idea what to spend it on .
Once back from the garage. I chatted to Namir for some more.
Then I cooked myself some lunch. Then had it while watching Doctor
Who. I love the new series of Doctor
Who. It's so, so good!!
Then had a about 6:00pm. I was feeling very tired. Since I had
been up since 8:15am. So I made up my mind, to have a sleep. So
I set my alarm clock for 8:00pm. So I did not sleep for too long.
Once I was fully wake again. I went out a nice cycle. I did the Corby
Glen loop, as I call it. So in other words a 18 mile cycle.
I did the cycle in 1 hour 14.51 minutes. So I was very happy.
As that is the fastest time, I have done the cycle in so far this
year.
Once back from the cycle. I cooked myself some dinner. Then,
I just listened to the radio, chatted to lots of people on the
net. Before going to bed at about 2:00am. |
Monday
1st - May 20006 |
I
wake up at about 11:00am. And for once, I was the first one up,
showed and dressed. But I did not have to wait for that long,
for both Jaco and Namir to get ready.
Once we had all showed and stuff. We all played about on our
laptops for a bit. Then Jaco very nicely cooked us all some breakfast.
He cooked us all scrambled eggs, just like he did the morning
before. I do love, it. So getting it, two days in a row was great.
Once we had all had our lunch. We set off to Ikea in Milton Keynes. It took us just over 1 hour, to get there. As
Milton Keyne is about 50 miles, from Jaco and Namir home, in Swavesey.
Namir, did very well indeed to find it. As none of us, had been
to that Ikea before.
The list of Ikea's I have been to is starting to grow. So far I have been the one
in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Warrington, Nottingham and now Milton Keyne.
Ikea was so,
so busy you would not believe. But then, it was a Bank Holiday
Monday. So I guess that everyone else had the same, idea as us.
When in Ikea,
I was a good boy and did not get anything at all. I did see a
number of things, I would like to get. The next time, I have some
money. The next thing, I do really want is a wardrobe. Ikea does
lots of very nice ones.
Jaco and Namir did get some stuff. They got a very tall CV/DVD
tower and some other stuff. Once done in Ikea.
We put all the stuff in the car. Then Namir and me walked to Asda,
which is right next to Ikea,
to get some stuff to eat and drink.
Once we had all eating the food. We set back off to Jaco and
Namir house. Once back at theirs. We watched some TV and some.
Before Namir come up with the idea of going to the local Pizza
Hut, to get some food. As none of us, did really feel like doing
any cooking.
Once we got food. We had it while watching my Beautiful Thing
DVD. Both of them, had never seen it before. I could tell at the
end of it. That they both loved it. Just as much, as I do. Once
the film was over. It was about 11:45pm. So it was time for me
to get ready. And set back off to Little Bytham.
The
drive back home, took about 1 hour. It's takes a while. Since
I can only do 60 mph back. With the bike on the back of me car.
Once back home, I was so happy. As on my bed was a new rug, that
I ordered from Next,
a couple of days ago. They told me, I would be getting it on 3rd
Wed. It was nice to get it early. It makes my room, look so much
better.
Once I had sorted the rug out. I spoke to Namir on ICQ for a bit. To let him and his BF Jaco know, that I got home all
safe and well. And of course thanked them both for a great weekend.
Then I watched some TV for a while. Before going to bed. |
Wednesday
- 3rd May 2006 |
My
day started at around 11:00am. When I got waken up by a delivery
man at the front door. I was happy, when I singed for it. Since
I could tell from the box, that it was a new computer chair that
I had ordered from Furniture@work,
last Friday.
So I spend about 20 minutes or so opening the box and making
my new chair. I am so happy with it. I have been wanting a nice
new chair for a long time. But it's taken me a long time, to have
the money for one. It only cost £37.49. Which I don't think
is too bad at all really.
Once I was happy that my chair was all made. I then checked my
email and stuff. Before having shower at around 11:45am. Then
I went outside, to cut the back grass. I could not believe, just
how nice and warm it was. It was at least 20C, so in other words,
I would so the best day of the year so far. So it looks like summer,
may be here at long last.
Once I had cut the grass. I then took the dog out for a nice
40 minute walk. I got back just in time, to watch Neighbours on BBC1.
Then I just played about on the net for a while.
Then at about 3:00pm. I made up my mind to go out for a nice
cycle and make the most of the great weather. It was so nice,
I even put my sexy cycling shorts on for the first time, this
year. I just need to work on getting my legs nice and tanned as,
they are very, very white right now. I did the Corby
Glen loop cycle. I was on fire when I did it. I did the cycle
in record time. I did the cycle in 1 hour 10.41 minutes. The best
time, before that was 1 hour 13.51 minutes, which I did all the
way back in July of 2005.
So once back from the cycle. I let myself soon down, as I was
very hot. From going, to fast on my bike. Then I cooked myself
my lunch. Then it was time, to set off to work.
Work was fun, for once. It's the best night. I have had in a
while. I guess the good weather did help. As it's made most people
in a good mood.
Once back from work. I chatted to some mates on ICQ, MSN etc.
Before going to bed at about 2:00am. |
Thursday
- 11th May 2006 |
I got up at about 11:45am.
I checked to see what post we had. There was nothing at all for
me. Which in most ways is good. Since it means no bills or anything.
Once I had done that. I then spend a while doing stuff to this
website. Nothing not most of you will really notice. I was just
going background stuff to the HTML code. Which took me to around
1:00pm. When I had a nice shower.
Once I was out of the shower. I looked outside. To see that the
dog, had been thought bin bags, around the side of the house.
And had made a right mess. I was not happy at all with her. Since
it was me, who had to clean the mess up.
Once
I had done that. I went to Morrisons,
in Stamford. I know, I don't normally go, on a Thursday. But for
some reason, I felt like change. While their, I mainly just got
some milk, food and the new issue of the Mountain
Biking UK magazine. Which I get once in while.
Once back from the shops. I watched Neighbours,
that I had recorded on my PVR, while in town. Then I played around
on the Interview for a while. Then I took the dog out for a nice
walk. Yes we, have both made up again. I was so nice and warm
outside. I even took my t-shirt off for a while.
Once back from the walk. I did some stuff around the house. And
chatted to Namir on ICQ for a while. Then at around 7:00pm. I put my sexy cycling shorts
and t-shirt on and went out for a nice cycle. The cycle I did
was 20 miles. It took me though the local villages of, Creeton,
Swinstead, Corby Glen, Swayfield, Castle Bytham, Clipsham, Careby,
then back to my village. So it was a very nice cycle.
Once back from my cycle. In other words around 8:30pm. I chatted
to Namir some more. Cooked myself some dinner, watched Eastenders.
Then I recorded a new podcast.
I had to record, as today I found out, that after 16 years. The BBC is to
stop making the great kids TV series called Byker Grove. Yes at
27, you may be thinking I am far to old for kids TV. But if you
around my age, then I am sure you will remember the Noddy story
line. As it was the first children's drama, to tackle the subject
of homosexuality. So in lots of ways, that program helped me,
and I am sure many other to come out. So it will always hold a
special place in my heart.
So please listen to episode 26, of my podcast to hear me speaking about Byker Grove.
Once I had done that. I just played about on the net, some more.
Then made a start, of giving my news pages a much needed update.
Before going to bed at about 1:00am. |
Tuesday
- 16th May 2006 |
Today I woke up at about 10:00am.
I think, I woke up so early because, I excited, about getting
my new Philips 20" wide screen silver flat screen monitor.
Which I ordered from Dabs.com,
on Monday. So once I was awake, I just played around the Internet
etc. As I could not have a shower. You will know, what it's like.
If I had gotten in the shower. My new monitor, would have turned
up, while I was in the shower. So I would have missed the delivery.
Which would have pissed me off.
I am just not really good at waiting for thing. So to also kill
time. I cut the back grass while waiting. Then lucky now long
after, I cut the back grass. The nice man from Amtrak turned up at 11:39:26am. I only know the time, because that's
what it say's on their on-line tracking website.
When
I got it. I was so, so funny. So I took the box with it in, to
my room. I was like, a kid at Christmas time, when opening it.
When I got it out the box, I could not believe just how big it
was. Then since it's a 20" wide screen flat screen monitor.
It's going to be big. It could me, about 2 hours. To get it fully
working. Because I could not get it, to use the correct screen
resolution of 1680x1050. After look playing about. I worked out,
it's because my PC Graphics card, only goes up to 1600x1200, while
using the DVI output. It will more then happy run at 1680x1050,
with using the analogue output.
So what means at some point, in the near future. I am going to
have to get myself a new Graphics card, that will work with 1600x1200,
with using the DVI output.
Now I have it working, it's to cool. It's so much better, then
my old 17" monitor that, I use to use. It's done me, very
well indeed. Since it was at least 4-5 years old. Just incase
you wanted to know the Philips 20" wide screen silver flat
screen monitor. Cost me £317.23. Well, OK to tell the, truth
it cost my Mum £317.23. Since she very nicely give me the
money to get it. So thanks to my Mum, for being the world's best
Mum.
Once I had the monitor working. I watched Neighbours on BBC1.
Then I took the dog, out. She was so happy, to get taken out.
As she has, not been out, since Friday. Since the weather as not
been up to much. Once back from the walk. I cooked myself some
lunch.
Then I of course played about with my sexy new monitor. I also
watched a bit of DVD on it. To really try out the wide screen.
It looked very good indeed. Then I spend at least 1 hour, chatting
to a mate called Ashley. About with exams, what he's been up to.
And lots of other stuff.
Then at about 5:20pm. I set off to the Peterborough
Greyhound Stadium for a very boring evening at work. I would
say, it's one of the best boring nights. I have ever had at the
dog track and that's really saying something. About just how bad
it was. While I work, I did phone home. To tell my Mum and Dad,
that I got the new monitor. And of course, to thank for Mum again,
for getting it for me.
I was so happy, once work was over and I was back home again.
Once home, I chatted to Namir on ICQ.
And let him now, that I have booked the nights, off work. For
going up to Glasgow, with him and his boyfriend Jaco. Once he,
had gone off-line and to bed I guess. I then spend about 2 hours,
or so chatting to Mike, from my Wetsuitlads
website. About lots of fun things. You may be pleased to know.
He will be going for photos for my website, very soon indeed.
Then after that it was off, to bed at around 2:30am. |

Today
was a very good day. Till just after work, when leaving the car
park. What did I go and do? But my drive car into a metal post.
So the driver's side door has a big **nded** in it. And does not
fully close. It really pissed me, off. Since I remember thinking,
to myself. Now Gordon, Gordon, remember that metal post. But then,
what did, I go and do, by drive into the damn thing.
Oh well these things do happen. So not really much, I do about
it. Other then hope it does not cost to much to get it fixed. |
Friday
- 19th May 2006 |
My day started at around 10:30am.
I should have got about at about 9:30am. But for some reason my
alarm did not go off. I have a feeling that I set it of PM and
not AM. So when I did wake up, I jumped out of bed. Then had a
shower. Then I used maps.google.co.uk to print out directions,
to get a to Mike's house. That I am meeting in Peterborough.
Went on a date with a sexy guy called Mike. |

Sunday
- 28th May 2006 |
I got out of bed at around
8:45am. Then had a great shower. For some reasons, I always really
like shower's in hotel rooms. Then I give Jaco and Namir a ring,
using the phone, in my room to find out, if they were really or
not. Which they both were. So I picked, then walked to the lift,
then went to there hotel room. Which was 525.
Then we looked at the map, to plan what we, were going to do
with the day. Once we had made up our minds. We then all got into
the car. Then set off westbound on the M8, then turned on at the
A80(M), then the M876, come off there and went to Falkirk
Wheel. Which I have been to a number of times. No mather how
many times, I go. I never get bored of it. Jaco and Namir, had
never seen it before. We spend at least 2 hours there I guess
it was. While there, we went to there cafe, to get a drink and
some food.
Once done at the Wheel, we then set off to the Wallace
Monument, in Stirling. Which again. I have been to a number
of times. I love the place. It may cost a far bit to get it. At
£6.50 each. One your at the top of it. You get some of the
best views, you will get anywhere in Scotland. Well if you ask
me anyway. Check out the Stirling
photos page, to see some of the views that you get from the
top.
Then we all set off to Loch Katrine. |

My boyfriend
Mike and me got out of bed at about 8:30am. I had a nice shower,
while Mike had a bath. Then he cooked me scrambled eggs for breakfast,
which was very nice of him indeed. He had something, else. Not
100% sure, what it was. I could tell, by the look of it. It would
not be too, my liking at all. (I think it involved cooked pigs
blood or something... Ick!)
Once we had our breakfast we checked the weather using the BBC
website. Then we got two wetsuits and everything else we needed
for a fun day at the seaside, put it all in my car and then we
set off towards Old Hunstanton, which is just right next to...
Hunstanton! (Although Old Hunstanton's got a far better beach!)
We arrived just after 11:00am. Which was not bad going really,
since we didn't set off till about 10:00am. The roads were mainly
quiet and I also got to use the Thorney Bypass for the first time
since it opened, in Winter 2005.
Once there, it took me a while to find the right road for the
beach, since I had only been there once before and that was with
someone else driving. But I found it in the end, thankfully without
losing to much time.
Standing on the front, it was very weird indeed. We could see
the beach, but not the sea because of a warm, low-hanging mist
raising from the damp sand.
Mike and I made our way out through the mist to find the sea,
all the while toying with the idea that we could get lost for
hours within the obscurity surrounding us and several times ended
up walking in totally the wrong direction since after a short
while, we lost sight of the beach as well as the sea!
Eventually (yes, i know it sounds like it took forever to get
there but it only really took us about 3 minutes, it just seemed
longer!) we got within sight of the waters edge and I ran ahead,
screaming like a little girl to splash about in the ankle deep
water, all to the amusement of Mike, who laughed aloud with mirth
and merryment at my grand display of masculinity.
After that first moment of inexplicable playfulness, Mike came
over to me, handed me my wetsuit and we started the tricky process
of getting undressed and into the wetsuits WITHOUT getting the
bag or our clothes wet, AND without getting sand in the wetsuits.
I wasn't bothered about the last, but Mike seemed to think it'd
be silly and a bit uncomfortable to have sand in the wetsuits
getting into all sorts of unwanted places...
All in all, we where in the water for just over 2 hours, swimming,
playing and taking pictures.
Then we went to Hunstanton and walked about for a bit, got some
chips and took more pictures. We went to Woolworths to buy drinks and chocolate, where Mike made the till girl giggle
and blush. Then Mike ran out and gave away all his spare cash
to some charity... Kids with Luchemia or something like that.
Mike popped into a sports shop and asked if they sold wetsuits.
The guy in there said to try closer to the beach for a place to
buy em'. I bought some O'Neill lycra shorts and Mike bought a
body board and a "Power
Ball", a nifty lil' gadget for building up the muscles
in the hand, wrist, forearm and biceps.
Mike was eager to try out the body board, so we went back down
to the water and he spent the next 15 minutes splashing about
and having fun.
Then we got back in the car and set off to Sandringham.
We went to the queens house, had a lurverly walk in her garden
and took some rather suspicious photos. To see the photos, I am
speaking about, check out page
5 of my photo
galleries.

My boyfriend
Mike and me went to Nottingham for the day. While there we
went to Frankie
and Bennys for a nice meal. We also went down Nottingham
caves. I had been down them before, but not since, I was going
with David. So I had not been down them for at least 3 or 4 years.
So it was great to go again.
Once done in Nottingham. We went to Ikea.
While there we, had some more to eat. I also got a very nice picture
frame. |
