Mike and myself at SandringhamMike and myself both got up at about 9:00am. Which is early, for me. Not for Mike. He's use, to getting out, of bed at like 6:00am. Anyway, back to why we got up at 9:00am. We had made up, our minds, a number of days ago. If the weather looked, OK to set off for the coast. So I had a quick check, of both the Metcheck.com and BBC Weather websites. They both said, much the same thing. Which was, mainly sunny, with rain showers at times.

So we just made, up your minds. Just to got for it. So we packed, two wetsuits. Just incase, we felt like going in the sea. My new digital camera and tripod. So we could try and get some good doubles photos, of ourselves.

We set off in the car, just after 10:40am. And got to Old Hunstanton. Just before 12:00pm. We parked the car, in the car park, we normaly use in Old Hunstanton. Which only cost's £3.00 for the day. We then went for nice walk, along the beach for a while. The wetsuits, did not get used. Just incase, your hoping to see new wetsuit photos, of Mike and myself.

Once we were done at beach. We walked into Hunstanton, to get something to eat and drink. We got chips from our favourite Fish & Chip shop in Hunstanton called "Fishers of Hunstanton". Then we walked back to the car. We made, it back. Just in time, before the rain started.

Then drink , to the Norfolk Lavender farm, which is down the road, from Hunstanton. While there Mike, got himself lots of very nice lavender plants. Then we had some very nice food, in the Norfolk Lavender farm tea rooms.

Then we got back in the car. And set off to Sandringham. Where, we had a nice walk around the woods. We also made good use of the camera and tripod. We got lots of good photos of ourselves. To check them out click here.

So that was our fun, filled day!! So thanks to the love, of my life Mike. For making the day, so much fun.

Mike and myself out cyclingMike and myself got out of bed, at about 8:45am. We then both put the bed away, before heading over to the toilet/shower block, to have showers. Then Mike, helped me sort out my cycling computer, so I could use, it on my bike up here.

Then we set off to the caravan site shop. To get some stuff to eat, and also so Mike could get himself a toothbrush. Because he forgot to pack it. I think, have did well. Only to forget one thing. Well one thing, that we know of anyway.

Then we both had some breakfast. Then we both went a cycle to Aberfoyle using national cycle network, route #7. Then we cycled though Queen Elizabeth Forest Park for a while. Up some, very, very steep hills. Which Mike made, look very, easy. Me and the other hand, was finding it hard work. So I was happy, when we got the top, of the hill. And then had the fun, bit of cycling back down the hill. On the way back, we cycled down, using the road. So we could go nice and fast.

Once we got back into Aberfoyle. We got some stuff from the Co-Op, for our dinner later on. Then we sat down, next to the River Fourth. And some stuff to drink. Before cycling the rest of the way back to the caravan site. The cycle we did was 13.79 miles. Which took as 1 hour, 20 minutes, and 15 seconds. So which a long, time, for just doing 13 miles. But lots of it, was up, very steep hills. Which of course, is good practice, for doing the End to End cycle next year.

Then we just sat around the caravan for a while. While Mike played on his DS. Then we got ourselves sorted and went for a sort drive to Loch Lomand. We parked the car at Balhama on the east side of the Loch. Then went for a nice walk. Which took us a couple of hours.

Then after the walk. We called into the Spar, in Dryman, to get some orange and apple juice. Then we went back to the caravan site. Where Mike cooked us, some dinner. Which was very nice indeed.

Then we went for a nice short walk, around the woods behind the caravan site. Then just chatted and watched TV for a while before going to bed at about 12:15am.

Some great news, I have got my car back at long last. After he broke down on the way back from work on the 1st August. The only bad thing, was how much it cost. Which was just over £500. Oh well, I least he's back on the road. And I would to say a BIG thank to the garage, for spending so much time, looking after him and making him all better!

The main thing that I did today, was to cycle to and from work. Which I know is not really the most interesting thing to blog about. Since it's the first time, I have done it all year. I think it's thought writing about. So how onto the cycle. The cycle to work, took me 1 hour 31.58 minutes, with an average speed of 15.5 mph. The cycle back from work, took 1 hour 43.59 minutes, with an average speed 13.2 mph.

Today I got a new mobile phone, that I have been waiting for since 25th August 2008, when I ordered it from the Orange website. I got a Nokia 6500 classic. Yes I know, it's not the best phone in the world. I just don't see the point in paying for a phone, with lots of things that I will never use. So when I get a new phone, I always just go for the free upgrade option.

Today on and off, Mike and myself spend most of the day cycling around Peterborough and Nene Park doing some Geocaching, which an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches"). It was great fun, in total we found 5 of them. This make not sound like fun, but believe me it is. It's great finding a new cache, as you never know, what you will find in it, when you open it. It was also the first great test of my "Garmin Edge 705", which I got myself, last Friday and cost £323.99. Which may sound a lot. It does a lot more then a normal GPS, since it's made for cycling with.

Just to show you that I can be Scottish at times. Most of the time, I see myself as British. This mainly because I was born in England, but grow up in Scotland. So now onto why, I am feeling Scottish today. Because at long last, just like Wales. Scotland now has it's own TV channel, which shows all of it's programming in Scotland's Gaelic language. And before you ask, I can't speak a word of Gaelic.

If you want to see a recorded countdown to the launch of the TV channel called "BBC Alba", then watch the video below. Which shows a new version of the Runrig song Alba.

If you now what to watch the channel, it can be found on Sky Digital: 168 and Freesat: 110.

Saturday - 20th September 2008

First of all I would just like to wish both my Dad and big brother Douglas a happy birthday.

So now onto with what I did with my Saturday. The main things that Mike and myself did was, to do some more Geocaching, today we found another three caches. The rest of the day was just spend playing about on the net, and doing some other stuff.

Then in the evening I was of course, working at the Peterborough Greyhound Stadium. Which was fun, as I got to train someone how to do the bar, which is always fun.

My boyfriend, is getting a Wetsuitlads t-shirt, with a very cool Wetsuitlads logo, that he got made for me. We are still waiting for the t-shirt, to come in the post.
